I'm doing a National History Day project on voodoo.... at least, that's what I thought. The theme is 'Conflict and Compromise'. I've researched quite extensively, but I don't know a specific point in the history of Voodoos that could be classified at a 'conflict'. Is there one point in time where Voodoo believers have been openly discriminated or something? And if there was, what was the 'compromise'?

Thanks so much in advance!

First, know that Voodoo is a term made up for American movies.
I've included a link that explains the religion and gives better terms.
A conflict can be between African and European religion. The compromise is Vodun.
I hope that helps.
