Of everything there, all the demons, himself, even people IF there is such a thing as people going there even though I doubt anybody has to stay there for eternity if they don't want to, then don't you think that if there is one being there that suffers the least and can exit Hell at anytime and get away from the flames and is so strong that he doesn't have to be tortured by anything there if he doesn't want to, don't you think that least tortured being would be Satan himself?

If people go there, they have it the worst. If demons torture people, there the ones having a blast. And Satan can torture them without anything torturing him.

Both are considered as an insult. But why aren't their poster complaining more about people who may have told them to F-off? Does "go to hell" carry more of a sting? If so why? Is the "go to hell" more insulting because of its religious connotations?

What I don't understand is why some people are so concerned with what people of other religions believe. I have always thought that the purpose of religion was to teach us to love God and to love one another. I just don't understand why people who claim to be religious like to bash others who belong to different churches. It seems to go against the very essence of religion.

If someone is trying their best to love God and to be a righteous person, why should it matter if they're Catholic, Muslim, Mormon, etc?

You remember that prayer: Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. That use to scare the crap out of me!
I would ask my mom, "Is it possible to die in your sleep?" She would answer, "Well, sure, but if you were assleep it wouldn't be uncomfortable." So then each night after saying that prayer and after my parents left the room the question would haunt me... Will tonight be the night that I die in my sleep? Will I even notice? So I would then have a hard time going to sleep. Did this ever happen to anyone as a result of saying that prayer? By the way, I was not psychotic as a child!

I think I'm done with Y!A for a little while, once I finish a few questions/answers tonight.

Maybe I'll be back after a few days, weeks, months; something.

Maybe not.

But goodbye for now; loves, and have nice lives and such :)

I feel spiritually devoid, but I am yet to find a religion I can grasp. I hope someone out there will see this & recognizing something that comes close 2 what I desire.

So I love Buddhism 4 the way the religion approaches Karma. The system looses me w/them not believing in a God. The Hindu philosophies believe Buddha was 1 incarnation of their God, & they’re similar 2 the Buddhists in many ways. They loose me w/the “Devotees” concept. 4 the same reason I don’t buy Christ, I don’t do Devotees. I don’t want a mortal conduit as bridge to my God. So, that rules out all Christ-like faiths.

Does anyone know of a religion that:
1) Doesn’t have a sin-back-up-plan (IE Hail Mary’s/Being Saved)
2) Doesn’t dictate miniscule, inconsequential aspects life (IE cursing)
3) Has no Christ-like character between you & the beyond
4) Is all about being respectful/kind to everyone w/out exception.

Please help, I am in a dark place in life right now & a little enlightenment would be nice.

What if my parents don't believe in God? Will that mean they will go to hell? I don't want them to. Do they get like a second chance or something?

As in remove all of the churches from our country. Let's just completely get rid of them. Maybe we can sell them to needy third world countries and use the money on real charities. Or we could just give them away to China to help pay off our debt to them. I think this is a wonderful idea.

Note: I don't believe in any of the already 'known' gods, so no sweat, this isn't preachy.

BUT! Say you die and low and behold, there the Almighty Man in the Sky sits. What would be the first thing you'd say/do to him?

In the Book of Hebrew, the author explains how there no longer is a need for the imperfect human priesthood of Aaron. It further explains that Jesus Christ is our one High Priest after the order of Melchizedech, in the Temple that is in Heaven. Melchizedech was an early king of what later became Jerusalem. Melchizedech meant King of Peace, and the City of Salem (aka Jerusalem) was the City of Peace. He was a High Priest of God, although he was not a Jew. He was worthy to receive a tithe from Abraham, the forefather of the Jews and Arabs.
The LDS, and RLDS believe they continue the priesthood from antiquity, therefore the authority to do things according to Joseph Smith's teachings. They have 'Aaronic and Melchizedech' priests.
The Roman Catholics and the other Orthodox have their own priesthood as well...being composed of celebate men. They also claim the first pope was Peter, although he was a married man, and never actually went to Rome.

Become nothingness...(again that's what i've read...if you believe differently feel free to let me know) ...but if this is true...then why does it matter if others want to believe in God...why do you have to keep telling us He isnt real....it would make no difference, right?
