Well I think a lot about the planets being in a line. This event only happens every couple thousand years, and we are closing in on this cycle. The last time it happened the civilizations of the Egyptians and the Mayans failed along with others. A lot of knowledge that humans had acquired was lost. Basically the last time the planets aligned was the boundary between our time and that of the accents. The planets are already coming into line. I think this could be like lining up a number of magnets. If the Magnets are close enough their magnetic fields will become one. I think that at the least each planet will feel the force of the combined gravitational pull of all the others. for us this could only be enough to raise see levels of cause more volcanic activity. who knows.
I'm not predicting doom and gloom. Just saying things could change
Well those are my thoughts

[Repost:]

The Mayan calendar ends on December of 2012. The Mayans predicted we'd be in a transition from 1987 C.E. to 2012 of that month into a new epoch where great changes will occur.

I don't necessarily believe in this, but the Mayans made several predictions in their time that came true, so perhaps it's worth looking into.

Many people ignore this and think, "Oh. It ends. Must be the end of the world! Let's prepare for our doom!"

Don't listen to them. They don't know what they're talking about.

The world ended on January 1, 2000. Don't you remember?

I saw the Nostradamus special, BTW. I take that like I did back in '99 -- with a grain of salt. The world is not going to cease to be, Jesus will return, etc. in 2012.

I think anything is possible, but whether or not anything is going to happen in 2012 will only be known when it gets here.

Opinions don't matter. Facts do.

It's the end of a cycle on the Mayan calendar. That's all.

i once asked a Mayan elder about it, and he said "time to buy a new calendar"
