Indeed but would the government go along with it? With religion and peace becoming a major issue in the world today, I'm not sure many people would go along with the idea. Besides, I don't think Buddhist China would want our Christian churches even if we were to offer them a billion dollars with the deal, they're just not into that kind of thing, now Italy, there's an investment. They might not be too happy with us giving their churches back but we didn't want them in the first place.

That's a little too carried away. Having to sell off churches to pay off our government's debt. If that were the case, our cars, homes, land, and antiques would shortly follow. Even though religion and church were the foundries of this country that helped to take everything away from it's rightful forefathers, the Native Americans.

I think that everyone has the right to believe in whatever they so choose, but yes, we do need a total separation of Church laws and State laws. Especially we do have many different religions here in America. It's not right for the beliefs of some to govern all.

Well I think the idea sucks.
We wouldn't have this country if it weren't for church. Separation of church and state means that the state can't tell you how you can worship, like it was when we moved from England. It doesn't mean that we can't worship in school or in public.

Nope, the first amendments says that congress shall pass no law respecting the establisment of religion OR INFRINGING UPON THE FREE EXCERCISE THEREOF.
I like the bill of rights.

That somewhat violates the whole "Freedom of Religion" thing this country was founded on, doesn't it?
