It proves you shouldn't mess with God....but I wonder...people ask for physical evidence....then they say it's not evidence. I think they are afraid of the truth, honestly.

Humans are arrogant and many believe they are indestructible, especially young people. To make such a statement and actually think that the Titanic would complete the entire journey, is laughable. Especially considering that there was a 1 in a million chance that an iceberg large enough to sink the Titanic just HAPPENED to be 400 miles off the coast of Newfoundland at the time the Titanic was near the end of its voyage. Coincidence? Hardly. Although there have been sightings of icebergs off the Atlantic coast of Canada, rarely are they seen so large by the time they reach the warmer waters south of the polar icecaps. Most of them have melted down considerably by then, and are normally not treacherous for ocean vessels. God always proves Himself right - no matter what the circumstances.

It was a man, or men that said that the Titanic couldn't be sunk. It was men that said the O-rings on the shuttle Challenger would hold up at ice-cold temperatures. It was men that said that the other shuttle could withstand re-entry with a missing heat shield tile. This only proves that man is wrong. It does nothing to prove the existance of God. God kills 1,500 people when the Titanic sinks to prove he's got the upper hand? Some god.

No, sorry. As a matter of fact, it's a myth that anyone ever said this (except, of course in the James Cameron's movie Titanic).
"Furthermore, no one even uttered the words, " God himself could not sink this ship." It was merely a sentence used in the James Cameron film to display the level of safety passengers felt about Titanic's superior construction. "
Another interesting fact- Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan, written by Morgan Robertson features the ocean liner Titan which sinks in the North Atlantic after striking an iceberg. The story is eerily similar to the sinking of the Titanic, and was written 14 years before it occurred.

The fact that the Titanic sank even though people said that the Big G himself couldn't sink it, is proof of a God?
No, no it isn't. If anything, it's proof to the contrary.

Actually, it is proof of a MEGA God. Because if God couldn't sink it, and something did, it must have been MORE POWERFUL than God.

funny how the ship was named Titanic and the Titans defied God. And even with a saying that God himself couldn't sink it I think sealed their fate.

God loves us enough to even let us make fools of ourselves- like the owner of Titanic said- even though it was at the expense of 1500 lives.

Right. A ridiculous statement from the builder of the Titanic is proof that God exists. (note sarcasm)

It's called irony. and who said that, a man who wasn't counting on running full speed ahead into an ice burge and who didn't design it with enough life boats.
