Seriously, I have heard some interesting things about the beliefs of Pagans. Can you please share some recources that might help me in determining whether I should give this a real good look, or dismiss the ideology all together like I have most other religions, or lack of, for that matter.

I have many of my own, which I will state at the end of this question, but I would like to know why others believe in God. We were talking about this in my religion class today and I thought it was really interesting. Star if you like!

Obviously, the world as a whole is at a loss for the moment, in regards to whether or not there is a God.

If it was your choice; you decide whether or not there is a God, what would you pick?

**Please DO NOT answer with anything but an answer to the question. I don't care about your Bible quotes, or anything that says this is unrealistic. My question; my terms--answer relevantly, or just don't answer.

Thank you for your answer, and have a nice day/night :)

A certain R&S users goes around telling everyone how Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses are not Christians, and are leading people to Satan and how they're all going to go to hell. (He's personally said that to me)

And He's doing what he "thinks is right"

Isn't that so funny how it's just like Paul was doing to the early church...and look what happened to him.

I bet the user will be either a Mormon or JW before he dies. What do you think?

I dont know where I stand religiously but I just read the "God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins and "God is not Great" by Christopher Hitchens...and I must admit, they are pretty well written and convincing. But, I would like to know some good thiest books to read to get both sides of religion...and suggestions?

This is an important question, so please only serious answers from Christians. My boyfriend confided in me about 3 weeks ago that for years, he has watched porn and masturbated. Of course, I was horrified, as he figured I would be. He said he has wanted to quit and finally feels like he has incentive to (me). That's why he even decided to tell me. He destroyed all of his porn and hasn't done it since. He says it's hard but he knows I will not put up with it. He has been reading books to help and everything.
I am a virgin and am waiting til marriage, which he respects. That's why this is so ironic. I can't help but wonder if God sent him to me to help him through this and see what is right. I love him and have no doubt that he loves me. I just don't want to look back years from now and regret not taking the "out" when I had the chance. What should I do? Thank you in advance for your answers.

Atheists, just how do we create a concept of an infinite God? I've heard it stated many times by atheists, that we create our own 'God Myth'. Give me an example of an infinity, that a single mind made up with, without hearing it from someone else. It would seem to me that the modern concepts of infinity, are the result of many years of effort and thought by many people. I'm looking for an example of an infinity, that occured in a single, finite mind because I suspect that person must be very wise.

i honestly beleive that people can come back from the dead if their souls have not been laid to rest or if they feel they have not completed something that they always wanted to. To me, paranormal invegtigations are very exciting. The way they all love what they do. The deacesed, to me, can and most likely will come back to either try to get help to be put to rest, or to haunt someone who has done wrong onto them or someone they knew. But the longer they have been dead, the harder it will be for them to "cross over".

I do not. My church, and I would think most churches(atleast the other's I've been to in my life) believe in dis-fellowshiping people. Aka excommunication.

I don't think it's right to just throw someone out of their church, without reason.

When I was growing up, a guy in my church was a "fire and brimstone" kind of person, and the church I was attending then dis-fellowshiped him because of it.

I don't think it's right they did that. Do you think that's wrong?

When they're the ones that sent themselves there! God gives us a choice. we either accept or reject Him. Hell is God reluctantly granting non-believers wish. they choose not to follow Him and follow the world, their choice, not His. So why do you blame God?

What's up with you people! We don't go around making fun of baptists, catholics or jews. we don't despise you or debunk your beliefs. why does everyone hate romney for being a mormon! we never made fun of Bush being a presbiterian. SO why do you bash us and our religion

Jesus lives! And now is death
But the gate of life immortal;
This shall calm my trembling breath
When I pass its gloomy portal.
Faith shall cry, as fails each sense:
Jesus is my confidence!

I am just curious after hanging out here for a bit what people think about JW's and mormons. So two questions. Just wondering what everyone thinks. If you could list your denomination with your answer i would appreciate it.

1) Do you think JW's are Christians

2) Do you think mormons are Christians

Atheists and non-Christians as I am seeking the opinions of Christians on this question I respectfully ask you to avoid answering. Thank you.
