If someone believes in a different god, they are decieved by Satan. If we find something against Christianity, it was planted by Satan. If a Christian leaves Christianity, they were led astray by Satan. He just seems to be a neat little loophole doesn't he?

Babylon in its literal sense is the name of an ancient city on the Euphrates river (modern day Iraq). It was to this city and its environs that the Israelites were deported by the Babylon king Nebuchadnezzar in 587 B.C, They were released in 538 by Cyrus, the Persian.
Babylon, because of this experience, came to be a term for evil governments and was applied in a figurative sense to pagan institutions. This figurative use was carried into Christian times by converts from Judaism, the Apostles among them. In the early years of Roman persecution, Babylon became a code word among Christians for pagan Rome. It is in this sense that the name "Babylon" for pagan Rome is used by John in Revelation (14:8) and by Peter (in Pt 5:13). The idea that the word applies to the "Roman" Catholic Church has no justification in fact.
It was born of the anti-Catholic feeling of the Reformation era.

Theists claim that...
The universe is TOO GREAT to not be created.

Then they say....
God is TOO GREAT to be created.

Make up your minds! How is God exempt from the first claim? If EVERYTHING must be created, then how can you theists be so arrogant and hypocritical as to re-define "everything" to fit your needs so God can oh-so-nicely not be under it. So everything COMPLICATED needs a designer? Yet the designer is the MOST COMPLICATED thing *ever* and it doesn't need a designer?

Falling into your own traps theists. And you wonder why atheists don't just "have faith". Well, what I just said may have something to do with it.

I'm writing a paper on the sacraments portrayed in Les Miserables(the movie), but I'm having trouble finding them. I was thinking of writing about the sacrament of reconciliation or the Eucharist, I'm just not sure which one, or if I should write about a different sacrament. Does anyone have any ideas?

Though legitimate tranlations shows Christ being worshiped by the angels in this verse, the NWT shows Christ being shown
o b e i s a n c e by the angels. The JWs say worship is to be " directed only toward God, " not toward Jesus Christ ( Reasoning from the Scriptures , 1989, 215 )

Many atheists, pagans and pantheists have studied the Bible and other religious texts in-depth in their attempts to believe. Some would qualify for degrees in religion, and a few actually hold these degrees. Telling an orthopedic surgeon the difference between a spiral fracture and a greenstick fracture doesn't make much sense, especially after (s)he has already diagnosed a sprain. Do you accept that others have the information, understand it and have dismissed it? Or do you make yourself look like an embacile by telling people who know the scripture better than most preachers to "read the Bible"? The only person who looks foolish in this situation, is the one who THINKS they know better than the poor, pitiful hellbound heathens. Any opinions?

Jesus did not call them Abraham's children, but a "brood of vipers" [Matt. 3:7]. Oh, that was too insulting for the noble blood and race of Israel, and they declared, "He has a demon' [Matt 11:18]. Our Lord also calls them a "brood of vipers"; furthermore in John 8 [:39,44] he states: "If you were Abraham's children ye would do what Abraham did.... You are of your father the devil. It was intolerable to them to hear that they were not Abraham's but the devil's children, nor can they bear to hear this today.------Martin Luther

-------------

"Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee." (Revelation 3:9)

Here Jesus says the real Jews are his followers and the disbelievers are NOT THE REAL JEWS.

Jesus also promises the believers, who are now called CHRISTIANS, that the disbelievers, who are now called JEWS, will always be under their feet as a symbol that Jesus Loves THEM.

--------------

"And the founder of Christianity made no secret indeed of his estimation of the Jewish people. When He found it necessary, He drove those enemies of the human race out of the Temple of God. ---- Adolph Hitler, Mein Kampf, pp.174

Hitler stated: "Christ was the greatest early fighter in the battle against the world enemy, the Jews . . . The work that Christ started but could not finish, I--Adolf Hitler--will conclude."

"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord."
Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, Ralph Mannheim, ed., p. 65, New York: Mariner Books, 1999

“If I find a Jew to baptize, I shall lead him to the Elbe bridge, hang a stone around his neck, and push him into the water, baptizing him with the name of Avraham!.. I cannot convert the Jews. Our lord Christ did not succeed in doing so; but I can close their mouths so that there will be nothing for them to do but to lie upon the ground.” – Martin Luther

Martin Luther: [ in his last sermon, four days before he died, ] called for practical measures: burn their synagogues, confiscate all books in Hebrew, prohibit Jewish prayers, force them to do manual labour, and drive them out of Germany.

or one person who ( God almighty who is Jesus Christ) ?

JWs translate this verse in such a way as to make it appear that two persons are in view - the "great God" ( the Father) and the " Savior " ( Jesus Christ ). They argue that this verse "clearly differentiates between ( God ) and Jesus Christ, the one through whom God provides the salvation. " ( Reasoning from the Scriptures 1089, 421
