Myth: Pagans try to recruit innocent children.

Truth: Pagans don't ever try to recruit *anyone*. We don't care to have numbers, what would be the purpose? Most of us wouldn't even tutor anyone under 18 in the way even if they begged unless their parents gave permission.

It is a misconception if believe that Islam with the holy Qur'an and Hadith is only a religion for praying and worship to Allah the only one God..Islam is a way of life.Islam is the philosopy of life.It should have impacts and influences to all aspects of eveyday life such as social, politics, economy, laws and regulations, behaviour,,ethics, trade and finance transac tions,marriage/divorce,inheritance,war,agreement,taxes and so on..There should be no separation Islam and the govern
ment. The government and parliament should use Qur'an and Hadith as the souce of references for making laws and regulations although the the country is a not stated as muslim country.

People think JW's are a cult....to be a cult you have to worship a human leader (among other things...which by the way all of Christianity could have been labeled while Jesus was alive) but we worship Jehovah and Jesus and no we don't just believe everyhting that we are told! We are encouraged to "make the truth your own". You cannot fully believe something if you haven't proved it is true to yourself.

To clear them all up:
I live an examined life. I have morals. I don't sleep around. I'm not angry at any body's god. I don't hurt animals. I have studied my religion and probably yours too. I don't live in a fantasy world. I vote, volunteer, give to charity, have friends, a family and a healthy sense of self.

Agnostic: people often accuse agnostics of being fence-sitters and not making any choices.

Actually, being an agnostic often means that you choose to have a global view about science and religion, understand their limits and the fact that they must be kept separated as they do not have the same object of study. (That last part was decreated/admitted by the Vatican itself! ^_^ )

It's an isolated position that requires a certain strength of Will to assume...

... We're also a sort of "Devil's advocate" from a certain point of view.

That hell is a place of burning and torturing.

Daniel 12:2 speaks not of everlasting pain, but of disgrace and everlasting contempt. The "weeping and gnashing of teeth" associated with punishment verses "describes a reaction of persons who have been publicly shamed or dishonored" (Malina and Rohrbaugh, Social Science Commentary, 76)

The torment of hell is relational in nature - someone with greater sins has more to "be ashamed of" than someone with lesser sins.

I would like to point out that when a Christian sins, it doesn't mean they're a hypocrite or no longer a Christian. That's the exact point of Christ. We can't do it. We are human. We are forgiven by grace.

Read the red words for what Jesus taught, for what He did and for what He said. THAT'S your example. Do not watch me (or other Christians), we mess it up ALL the time.

Great question, by the way!!!

I don't claim to be smart enough to judge misconceptions.

That Goddess worshipers are irrational or dumb. It took a lot of study and work to get where I am, and I resent people assuming I didn't have valid reasons for the choices I made.

Witches want your attention and your money.

Truth:
I'll live on my own with my cat. No one will really know about my beliefs unless they want to know. I don't flaunt it. But I do offer advice on what to do with things....and I most certainly won't charge you for it...unless it's something I had to personally make and I might ask that you give me a couple bucks to pay for supplies.....that's why I like Answers....I get to help people and not have to charge....glad I'm helping someone....
