Most professionals charge for their advice and service in one way or another. However, some, like the church, collect that fee by voluntary donations. I think a set, mandatory admission fee would go against most churches sermons on "giving" since the gift is no longer voluntary and the church itsself would be portrayed as a business and possibly greedy rather than a messenger of God reaching out to others. What about the less fortunate members of the congregation who receive some of the tithings confidentially as charitable donations - they would then be pointed out for those in the church that preach you shouldn't judge, but do judge anyway.

I would consider it for expenses if it were a seminar or such, but for a weekly service, I think not. What kind of crowd are we opening the church to if we are to charge admission into a service. The Bible says to let those who are weary and heavy laden come unto God. It doesn't say, only allow those who can afford it.

After reading each ones comments, i've got concluded that maximum of you're purely antisemitic without actual have any sturdy information of your hatred for the Israelis. The Israelis and the Palestinians hate one yet another, each Muslim u . s . a . hates the Jews, Hitler hated the Jews, the BNP hate the Jews and the Muslims, the Catholic church hate the Jews and the Muslims, it is not suitable if Israel is answerable for conflict crimes, they are scuffling with a conflict against the Muslims for which has been raging for hundreds of years and could proceed long after maximum everybody is ineffective. What concerns is the hatred we've for another (i'm answerable for this too). all of us hate human beings for one reason or yet another. end attempting to locate a in charge events in the middle East conflict on account that may not convey peace, removing faith would yet returned it isn't any longer gonna take place. the element is there heavily isn't peace in the middle east or on the face of this earth, so end attempting to locate culprits and purely settle for Mankind will wipe him or herself of the face of the Earth

No. Jesus didn't charge people when He went about preaching, healing, and teaching. Heaven is a free gift to us from God. We can't do enough good works or give enough money to buy our way into Heaven. Heaven is free. Church admission should be free. If a person wants to willing offer something--fine, but admission need not be charged.

Absolutely not! If you attend a church or know of a church that accepts money for admission I would say steer clear away.

It would be obvious that they are not about the things of God/Christ/nor the Bible if they would have people pay to hear the Word.

Have a Blessed day... And I mean that

Tithing. You need to give 10% to the church. Some megachurches require you to hand in your W2s so they can be sure they are getting god's cut. I remeber when Rev. Lovejoy on the Simpson's threatened to audit his parishoners, I guess some preachers saw that and thought it was a good idea.

No church I know of charges "admission." If you are speaking of the Catholic church it is an "offering" to help with the maintenance (cleaning, etc.) of the church, and is voluntary.

No, church should be open for all people, life costs enough as it is. I see no problem with having a voluntary offering box, but forcing you to pay admission is ridiculous O.o

Yes, and maybe start charging for baptisms fifty bucks a pop. Seriously though I think it would be crazy to do that. By charging to grant entry a church would limit itself on how many people got to hear the message. I think God would be kinda mad.

What price does God ask to enter Heaven.

None, It is a free gift.

No one should pay for God's word another gift of God.

There would be a lot less people going to church than now.
