Does anyone know of any online places to exchange emails? I'm Catholic but am open to Christians of any path/denomination.

Ask God for support. You really have to have your mind made up that this is what you want for what ever reason.

I quit cold turkey 3-4 months ago. I thought how can I witness for Christ when I smell like stale cigarettes. This was my conviction and may not be yours.

It's a rough ride for about the first three days, but afterwards it eases up a bit. The important thing to remember is that there is nothing that can make you smoke, except you.

Just keep putting it off for 5 minutes, that will turn to 10, that will turn to an hour and soon you will be a non-smoker.

Good luck! I'm in your corner as an ex-two-pack-a-day man!

About a year and a half ago, during one of my Bible Studies, I asked the ladies to pray for me during our 10 week study and the only thing I asked was that they pray the Lord takes control of my smoking. Candidly, it was a "test", to see if the Lord would answer. It only took 6 weeks of my faithful tryiing and calling on Him when I couldn't, to get me to stop. All I would have to do was to utter (even under my breath) "Lord please just take it away" and the thought of smoking would leave my mind. Sometimes for an hour, sometimes for several hours. I kept myself busy and thanking Him every morning and every night - asking His Will to be done. I have been smoke free now for 1 1/2 years after a 2 pack a day addiction for over 26 years. It can be done. You don't need a website, patches, shots, hypnosis, all you need is Him. He IS the way! Take a leap of faith! katiefish <><
