I think there might be some things in your life that are separating you from God...gettin in the way of his plan for your life...are you really doing everything you can to show God that you mean business and want your faith back?

It could be a test just to make you stronger...the larger the building the deeper and stronger the foundation it must have....he might just be helping your foundation

There's an old saying about this, I hope I get it right. Faith is like a water jug. Every so often, the jug grows, and the same amount of water won't fill it. When that happens, you need to go back to the well.

Your mind and your understanding of the world has grown, but your faith hasn't. Now there's a lot of ways to build your faith back up; reading inspirational works, thinking about what your religion & God means to you, prayer, talking to others about what THEY believe, and a lot of others.

But the main point is, it happens to EVERYONE from time to time. It doesn't mean you lost your faith, or God abandoned you, or any of that. It just means your understanding of God has to grow a little.

If I knew you better, I'd probably say "ah-ha, I should suggest..." and I'd hit on a great way for you to do that. Instead, I'm going to trust in my luck. The book I just started reading last night might help you out a lot. See if your local library can get a copy of Change Your Thoughts - Change Your Life: Living the Wisdom of the Tao by Wayne W. Dyer.

Some of it will make sense, some will seem weird, the rest will get you thinking about what YOU believe. That might jump start your faith.

Yeah I've been through times like that. I think mostly it happens when we doubt and simply don't search for answers. Faith isn't a blind belief in something you just hope is real. You have to search and trust in God, even when you're not sure He's there. He hears you, and He is there. A great website that's helped me a lot is http://www.allaboutthejourney.org/ . It answers the kinds of questions a skeptic or doubter would ask, and gives proof of the Bible's validity. You might also try http://www.everystudent.com/index.html . Keep reading your Bible, too, even if it doesn't feel like you're getting anywhere. You are. Never stop searching for truth. God bless!

You have probably started facing facts instead of believing fairy tales. Faith was probably hammered in your head from as far back as you can remember and as you are exposed to other facts and theories you begin to doubt. Maybe if you live to an old age and become feeble mined and start to reason like a child again your faith will return. It is hard to accept that the only thing you have to look forward to after death is feeding the worms. Worm feeding time is limited and after that it`s zero.

Perhaps your rational mind is coming to grips with the fact that so most 'religion' does not make sense with the realities of the world we live in. Much of 'christianity' does not even go along with the true teachings of Christ.
Do not feel bad for questioning. God gave us a mind to think, and question, and reason.
As for any fear of death, try to remember that death is just a natural part of the life cycle. It need not be feared. If there is a loving and compassionate God, then you will be taken care of regardless.

Remember how you felt when you figured out Santa Claus wasn't real? Do you wish you still believed in Santa, the Easter Bunny or the Tooth Fairy? No? Then don't feel bad that you've "growing up". True knowledge begins with rejecting myths and saying, "I really don't know."

A great and wonderful adventure awaits you!

Possibly it is because you are growing up and realise that religion is a sham.

Why are you afraid of death? You can be afraid of dying. Dying can be a painful and protracted process. Death is non-existence, you will no longer exist to have fear, pain, anything.

A fear of death is like fearing a deep dreamless sleep. The only difference is that you do not wake up from death.

I plan on having a long and fruitful life until I can no longer enjoy it. At which point I will put my affairs in order, say goodbye to the ones i love and care for and then die in a manner of my choosing, in as painless as possible way.

Accept reality. It will happen anyway, why fear it?

Faith is comparable to a young tree.

It needs water.
It needs the proper soil to assure growth.
It needs nourishment (nutrients).
It needs Light.
It needs someone to care for it.

If this is done it will eventually reach a height where it can provide shade for others that pass near to it in the heat of the day!

We all need to become good Gardner's, learn to care for the garden, and weed it when it becomes necessary. Have you checked for weeds lately?

"Peace be always with you",

Faith = trust. After you are dropped on your face a few times by something you were trusting, you have a tendency not to trust so much.
