I believe that Mormons and JW's are counterfeit Christians.
1. Mormons believe that Jesus was born in heaven as the spirit child of Elohim (Heavenly Father) by one of his wives, and Jesus' brother was Lucifer, who became Satan. They teach that Jesus is one of many Gods.
2. JW's believe that Jesus was created as Archangel Michael/lesser God; became only a good man, died, ceased to exist, recreated as Michael again in heaven. They deny the trinity.

I am a born again Christian. I have no denomination but was raised protestant.
Both the doctrines of the JW and the Mormons do not preach the gospel that is taught on the true Word of God. Their Jesus is a differant Jesus. Same as the Catholic Church's Jesus. Not the same as the bible's. So they mascarade as "christ" representatives, but are only outwardly in a eally cheap "sheep suit" trying to appear christian. So no, their doctrines aren't christian, when you compare it to the gospel of Yeshua the Messiah. Only those who happened to have been born again somewhere in their life outside of these churches are true christians. And some are still apart of these false churches, and haven't had the courage to leave.

Both JWs and Mormons come on as if they are in sync with Christian denominations...until you read the fine print. And yes, it all comes down to what they believe about Jesus. Neither accepts Christ as divine, equal to the Father and the Spirit. That sets them both outside the pale.

Yes, Mormons are Christians.
Just because we're non-traditional, different than Catholics, Pentecostals, Methodists, etc. does not mean we are not followers of Christ.
We believe in God, the eternal Father, in his son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost.
That is our first article of faith.
We believe the first principle of the Gospel is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
This is in the 4th article of faith.
We read the bible and believe that Jesus is the savior and redeemer of all the world.
Mormons are Christians.

I don't like answering these kinds of questions. I believe only God can decide who the real Christians are. There are things about these beliefs that I would never follow or believe, but that's me.

I know Mormons are Christians. I am LDS, and I believe that Christ is the Son of God. I believe He came to this earth to fulfill His mission. He lived a perfect life, suffered for my sins, pains and temptation, and he died for me and was resurrected, so I can be resurrected again. Because of Christ, I can live again.
The real issue that people have is not if we believe in Christ; it is if we believe in the Trinity, which we do not. We believe that God and Christ are separate beings as is the Holy Ghost. This is what is taught in the Bible.
I do not know enough about Jehovah's Witnesses to comment, so I will refrain.

I attend First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.
If Jehovah's Witness and Mormons claim to be Christian, I have no reason to doubt them - even though I may not share their beliefs.
