When they're the ones that sent themselves there! God gives us a choice. we either accept or reject Him. Hell is God reluctantly granting non-believers wish. they choose not to follow Him and follow the world, their choice, not His. So why do you blame God?

Yep- Jews have been saying this for the last 4000 years- here is no hell and God is all loving, he would never sentence anyone to eternal punishment. The fact that Christianity invented Hell to keep its followers, and thos who they were trying to convert in line, doesn't change our belief. There is no hell since God would never sentence anyone to eternal punishment.

I guess they are trying to comfort themselves. For some reason people never want to be blamed even though they are the guilty ones. No one can say they never had a choice, they were not given second chances because we all know were to get a Bible, how to get to God, which is through praying, reading the bible and the lots but we choose not to. I do feel sorry for them though because when Jesus does come then...what a pity. As the Bible says....turn away from your evil ways cause the Kingdom of God is near. Every ear has had so let us all obey they voice of God because in the end if we end up in hell we have no one to blame but ourselves.

*sigh* This has been explained time and time again, and it is appallingly obvious that no matter how often someone tries to take you through the necessary reasoning, you continue to be mired in your doctrine. Illusion of choice and the freedom to choose are not the same. Your god as depicted in your holy book is capricious, often epitomizing the worst of human nature. I do not blame your god, because that would grant him existence. What I do is ask you to question the notions you have about him, and hope that you may one day open your eyes.

As Christians are so fond of using parenting analogies when trying to defend the inconsistency of free will and an omniscient god, I will do the same here. If my children were coming home to stay permanently, I would not turn them away, no matter what they had done.

God Is our creator and judge of the world.
If someone had a loved one killed through unthinkable circumstances, wouldn't they seek justice ? We're ALL given rules/laws to abide by and If we break these laws we pay a price.
If that judge being a Law abiding judge decided to let that person go and just give him a slap on the wrist, would you think justice was served ?
No !
The person that commited the crime must do the time. How Is It that we think God would be any different ?
He gives us a choice. In refusing Jesus Christ,we've made our choice already.
God doesn't send people to hell, they send themselves with the choices they make In this life.
God just carries out the appropriate sentence.

Think about what you're saying for a minute. Who would choose to go to hell? This argument is a clever way of attempting to convince yourself that God doesn't send anyone to hell. The fact is no one would choose to go to hell so the only way they would end up there is if God sends them there.

Your thinking is a little skewed.

A loving parent doesn't give a child choices of eating dinner or playing in traffic.

As a parent, I gave my daughter the choice of brown or blue shoes for school, and she could freely make the choice. Neither option was bad for her, and she got to exercise her 'free will' quite frequently.

Now then, why wouldn't a loving God be a 'win-win' type who would give choices that are all positive, and let us make them into slightly positive or more positive selections?

The 'loving God' who invented hellfire and eternal damnation is a twisted figment of a schizophrenic imagination (notice how his prophets were always 'hearing voices'?) and deserves to be mothballed along with his bible.

Yes, but since god is omniscient (all wise and knowing), he would understand WHY I became an atheist. I am perfectly justified to be in my position, because my intentions are good. In other words, I'm not trying to defy anyone. I'm only doing what I think is right. An all-loving god would realize that, and would have no reason to reject me from heaven (for that reason, at least).

Besides, if god wants a bunch of mindless zealots who blindly follow whatever they're taught as children, then heaven isn't really all that great, is it?

If you're 15 daughter gets pregnant, are you going to kick her out because she made a mistake..no. You'll be mad, upset, stressed, and limit her freedom, but you won't throw her into the streets. You'll do the best for her, even if she did a very bad thing. Same thing with god.

Besides, how do you know what god thinks?

Nifty quotes to go along with your question:

"Spiritual people inspire me,
Religious people frighten me."

"Those who think they know it all
are just an annoyance to those of us who do."
hahaha ;]

"Every religion says its the only one that's right..
Therefore they are all W R O N G."

"What makes your god real
& evryone elses fake?"

...people REALLY need to think on that last one.

Listen to "antihero" he's got a major point!

If "God" doesn't send people to Hell, just what is the purpose of the so-called Judgment? Does He think we are incapable of knowing the choices we've made, so He needs to explain it to us?

What a load!

They speak those words because they dont know. God is truly not sending anyone to hell. ppl are told what to do to avoid hell, and if they dont obey, they send themselves there GOd ust do what He must do to rid the world of sin, permanently. We all have a chance to know and learn, and if we dont, we hve noone to blame but ourselves. GOd doesnt want even one to be lost. This is why He commands us to tell them, to warn them and yet many hate us for it, saying we are judging them. No God is the judge, but He does say where one goes that wont love and obey Him. BUt ifyou notice ppl are usually quick to blame others for what they do, in all things of life. PPL dont want to be held acountible to anyone, when they are rebellious against God. they dont even want to answer to another person, let along GOd Himself.
ALlwe can do is love them, forgive them, and continue to live and speak the truth, without fear or compromise and leave God to deal with those that wont receive Jesus
Keep praying and God bless you.
