While studying psychology in college I never even once considered it would even come close to "over-rideing" some core Catholic beliefs. As a younger I remember reading in the Bible about how those who beilieved would be persecuted. As an older adult I am seeing the people who are happier in life are people who consistently lie about everything and everything and "ride over" every which way they can to make a gain whether it be cheating in a relationship, going for a raise. Its a dog eat dog world I am learning by getting burned now not only just hearing and reading about thta statement, is the bible real or is it written by weaker people who are losers in life and created some "imaginary fantasy" as described by many pschyologists and psychiatrists>? I cant beleive I am even asking this. I used to have alot more faith.

Stay with me here. Kids, and maybe some adults may too easily go through the motions of Communion. A wafer shaped like Jesus (think a gingerbread man but far more detailed) would remind them of what Communion is all about. When they're biting off the head of Wafer Jesus, and then his arms and legs and finally his torso, they'll be more likely to think of Non-Wafer Jesus and how he died for our sins.

What do you think?

If God is the judge and we are supposed to have free will why do believers judge since they are sinners too?

Please don't say because 'he is the father of lies'. God is mentioned under a variety of names also.

I just learned a lot about the sacred Mormon undergarments (incorrectly called "magic underwear" by some). They sound kind of neat. ***How come other Christian sects don't have anything like them?***

If I were updating a branch of Christianity I would definitely include sacred undergarments! Hell, I'd even use the name "magic underpants" to make them sound powerful yet mysterious! Who's with me!

I have never really gone to church and just started going with my girlfriend. I love the people there but I feel very uncomfertable when they are praying and singer songs and I don' know why. I want to believe in God and accept Jesus but struggle to do so and I feel terrible enough about it to post this question. Can someone give me some advice on how they feel about god and why or why not they worship him. I guess I want to belive in him but I don't know how.

Why don't Jews believe in jesus Christ? doesn't he fulfill the prophecies of the old testament? for example.. Isaiah 53
" surely he has borne our greifs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was peirced through for our transgressions: he was bruised for our inquities"..........this is just a part of Isaiah 53 but doesn't this provide sound proof for jesus Christ being the Messiah? What would another Messiah do differently? thanks for your answers..

I am a Christian and I just smoked my last cig. My smoking has caused a lot of fights in my marriage and I feel so terrible when I look at my children (they do not know).
I know that it is a sin and I know that I need to lean on God for this.
Will you PLEASE pray for me and let me know of some scripture that I can read pertaining to this. Anything will help me.
I NEED to do this... God didn't give me life for me so screw it up and hurt my body.

One of the answers to my Genesis question said that God intended Adan and Eve to live forever. Now, as I understand it. The Christian God is an all knowing God. So, how could he possibly have intended Adam and Eve to live forever when clearly, He would know they're going to eat the fruit and die?
