Hippies are first and foremost all about PEACE & LOVE (and not all hippies do drugs).

God is Love.
Christ is the epitome of love.
'Love your neighbor fulfills God's Law' (Romans13:8-10)
'Faith, hope, and love, the greatest of these is love'
(Corinthians13:13)

"Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they will be called the children of God."

I never seen Hindus and Jews or any other religions do this. What is wrong with Christians and Muslims?

Subtract the billion Catholics from your statistics and suddenly Christianity becomes a rather insignificant religion.

Do you think using birth control is a sin? If you were to choose between BC and abortion what would you chose?

And what kind of BC is considered to be natual, and not artificial?

It is understandable that many people would object to killing a perfectly healthy baby by abortion. But what if a baby was to be born with severe retardation or brain damage. Or with a sireous uncorrectable physical defect. What if it would be born with its head on backwards. Would any of these reasons be justification for abortion? sireous comments please.
B.B.

I think so. I was happily zzz'd away this morning like a good little heathen when I was rudely awakened by a knock at the door and the question "Have you heard the good news about christs ressurection" No, I haven't heard. 2 thousand years or so and that info hasn't reached me yet- thank you so much for waking me and telling me. What makes these muppets think that if the worlds greatest thinkers, philosophers, and religious leaders havent been able to convince me, that Maureen Fletchly and her moron mate will by showing up on my doorstep? Have you ever been disturbed by a door to door athiest as your sitting down to say grace? No, no you havent- so kindly piss off and let me enjoy my weekend in peace.
Ban door to door christians!..

I am not sure what to think. It has been a really great church & the pastor is great too. He is supposedly burnt out so the staff forced him to take a 90 day leave. He started the church in the basement of his home & now it's at about 1200 people. They have collected over 1/2 mil. $ to build a new church so what happens to all of that??

Pantheism holds that god is the material world.
Panentheism holds the same except that God is also transcendent about the material world.

the father is in heaven, the son was material. the holy spirit is inside human beings. god says he is in the rock and the air, also the burning bush, and i believe moses's cane.

good evidence to call it panentheistic?

The term 'pagan' seems to encompass a wide variety of religions ranging from graeco-roman to 'witchcraft' and probably many other forms.

I wonder what all these religions have in common or are they all put under that title arbitrarly?

Back in my college days, my senior year we took a road trip to New Orleans. We were just catching all the coins from the floats at Marti Gras. We were around the French Quarter when a couple on the street were telling people about Jesus. I thought they were weird. They were mainly talking to my roommates. Then the wife asked me the accept Jesus. I told her I was a very nice person. But she said all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. I thought she was nice so I said something like Jesus forgive me. I told her she was doing a great job. When I got back to school, somebody sits right next to me in the cafeteria and tells me Jesus was the only Son of God. I was wondering about all this so that night I said a prayer like this. "God, is Christianity the only way?". As soon as I said that, my heart started stopping. When it did, I felt my soul and something like raw sin in it. I remember saying "forgive me" and it went away. I believed after that. Has anyone had a similar occu?

In afterlife, where do people think you go. I think you just rot in the ground because their is no such thing as a soul.

My brother is always telling the rest of the family that there might be a God, there might not, and he will find out when he dies.

This is NOT the right decision he is making! How do I get him to build a relationship to God when I am only 13?
