so i hear the bible says no drunkness .... (moderation as you say)

but as a human being dont u HAVE to get drunk if u drink .... i mean yeh some people have 1 cup but the majority still get drunk on a daily basis.

i mean drinking still makes u drunk ... a human being will never b moderate cause every drinker has gotten drunk before.

I want to run a poll to find out what your takes are on organised religon.

I personally beleive that organized religion opens up the gate too wide. If you get alot of people with similar beleifs, several of them could be very powerful. Now if these powerful people followed a religion that stated all women should be enslaved, do you want these people to have influence over things where religion should not be involved?

Now, don't think that I think religion is wrong. I just beleive that our children should be given the freedom of choice, inform them then let them make their own decision, rather than frightening them with tales of hellfire and damnation.

What is your take? No insults please, to me or anyone else. No sarcasm. Sarcasm hurts. Thank you.

I converted when I was 17, because Catholicism just wasnt cutting it for me.

I received an interesting story by email today:

A while ago, my child and I were sitting down by our fireplace. I had my laptop open and was reading Google News. A headline read "Dumbledore Comes Out," and this caught the eye of my son. He loves the Harry Potter series and we were first in line for several of the books.

He asked what Dumbledore was doing. Kind of dismayed I found myself having to tell him about JK Rowling, her "outing" of the character, and that "gay" meant he "liked" other men, instead of women. His smile turned into a frown and he seemed very disappointed.

What he said next took me by surprise, but I was relieved, "That's not normal" he said. Being a good Christian, my son has always been able to tell right from wrong without being told first.

Since then his interest in HP is gone. He knew it was against God and threw away his whole collection away without us asking him to.

ppl of all faith may claim their religion is true but the reality is only 1 religion is trur and that is islam.Im not saying because i was brought up in a islamic culture nor because i was brought up in a Muslim country by Muslim parents and no because of peer pressure.Idont think a fire which can be set out by water can be god,nor a human who can get hurt and even die can be a god, nor do i think a stone which is curved by human hands which can break which cannot hear nor see can be a god.I think it is better to worship the idol maker than the idol because the idol is his creation.In islam their is no place wrong it is the complete way of life not just a religion,it talks about food,clothing and everything from what to do to what not to do.no other religon has this.They are just religions for name,the koran hasnt changes a single word and also no human beign has been able to make a book like koran not even an aayath"verse"like that of quran this islam it the truth and koran is divine

Antony Flew, world famous philosopher and atheist for over 50 years, now says that God exists.. maybe not a Christian God - but he might be a Diest. Richard Dawkins says "He was once a great philosopher. So sad." It turns out he may have sold out to his religious friends, rather than actually converting to a believer. What do you make of it?

This person asking who are the people who wrote the Bible! Since they never walked, talked or been with Jesus. Who are they to write the Bible! Yet, Muhammad who never meet Jesus, and was born hundreds of years after Him knows Jesus and wrote about Him! and the Muslims hold on to every word from Muhammad as if it is the only truth and nothing but the truth, and everyone else is wrong! Do you see the contridication in Islam?

The Bible clearly talks about Dragons and it clearly describes them and states that they lived with people.
Look at JOB or in the appochrapha at Beell and the Dragon.

There are many other places.

If you say you believe the Bible as the innerant word of God how can you ignor these things?

I believe the Bible 100% and I believe everything in it.

The term Dinosaur was not made up until 1841.
