How do you call the religious stand of someone who doesn't believe in God, but doesn't deny its existence?

I am (obviously) not Roman Catholic, and do not believe in God/many of their viewpoints. However, the religion has always fascinated me. I also have to have a measure of respect for a religion that was able to last through all these years. So, are there any good books (other than the bible) or places online to learn about it? I have friends that are Roman Catholic but am fearful of asking them about it in case it sparks another religious/political debate.

Imagine, you look through your childs candy and find a pamphlet that says "God doesn't exist" and goes on to talk about the belief that god/s don't exist, there is no heaven or hell, we will all just rot when we die, no such thing as an afterlife etc etc. What would you do then?? In response to my last question lots of people said that It is the RIGHT of people to give out what they want on Halloween even pamphlets about religious beliefs, but where do you draw the line? What kind of beliefs are acceptable to promote during Halloween? Yeah sure you can throw it out, talk with your kids about it etc but is it really ok for others to express their beliefs, whatever they may be to your children on Halloween? Just so you know I would never do that, I don't think it is right at all to use Halloween to peddle your personal beliefs. I guess other people think it's ok, no matter what is being peddled...

What I'm getting to is why do atheist act in a moral way? I'm not saying that atheist do not have the capacity of being moral, what I am saying is what is the reason? No one is governing the way atheist act or live. Why not live in a Darwinian manner and kill all others atheist see as weak, such as religious people, in the survival of the fittest. So this rises to another question. Why stand idle about your disbeliefs? Isn't that a contradiction?

Before I heard about the "Way of the Master" I already was a Christian but I didn't knew the whole meaning behind it all. This evangelism training made me see the real truth and i'm grateful to Ray Comfort & Kirk Cameron and to God who broad this on my path.

So what do you think about the Way of the Master evangelism training?

I know it made my life better.

Do you believe that the mental and physical are the same? When one dies the other does too, Or is he mind and body seperate. Do you believe that their is only one kind of "stuff" in the world, either mental or physical but not two?

Note:This is not an attack on atheism, simply a philosophical discussion. I am not christian and could care less if god exists or not.

I was raised in a catholic church but I don't think I believe everything they say. For example, I do NOT believe that the pope has a greater relationahip with god. I don't even believe there should be popes!

I don't know what to do... I am only 13 so I go to church with my parents but... I don't really want to go to a catholic church!

Also, people say that catholics teach a false gospel. Please explain. I'm young and confused. Help me!

I am Baptist, and considering converting to Byzantine Catholic (I was raised Baptist, but I go to a Byzantine Catholic Church every Sunday). I am about 98% sure that this is what I want. But a little part of me (2% lol) is afraid to let go of my old religion. Any advice for such a big change?

Okay, here's the hypothetical: You have just been given the chance to bring back ONE person that you love (friend or family) that has passed on, for ONE day.
They will have no memory of the circumstances of their death, nor will they have any memory of what happened after death, pertaining to the afterlife or lack thereof. They will be in perfect health. They ARE aware of main events that have happened since they died (world events, marriages, deaths, births, et cetera).
You have one day to spend with them. You can ask them anything you want, talk to them about anything, and go anywhere in the world in the blink of an eye.
So who would you choose, what would you ask them, and what would you talk about? Where would you go with them?
I will read every answer (no matter how long or short)...and please, no one give any thumbs down, unless the person doesn't answer the question.

Thanks everyone, I look forward to your answers!
