What choice do the parents have?

I know kids that were raised exclusively on teletubbies, Arthur, and other non-violent kids shows. Given a chance, they will still entertain themselves by hitting each other with sticks.
Little boys just have violence programmed into them in their genes. It probably doesn't matter much what kind of entertainment they are shown. Violence is just an instinctive part of the human race, especially the male part of the human race.
Of course, this should be fairly obvious to anyone that has studied history. Humans are more than happy to fight with each other for no particular reason.

I've been watching people murdered on TV and in movie theaters for 35 years. Guess what? I haven't killed anyone yet.
