That was a Jewish prejudice. Christians are Gentiles that is non Jew very few Jews are Christian. The Jews did not like any Gentile. If you were not Hebrew or Jew then you were nothing. I do not know if they still feel that way but according to the bible this is how they felt. Paul even rebuked Peter for not associating with Gentiles and it was Peter that God sent to Gentiles first to prove to the Jews that they were accepted also, but Peter's anti Gentile attitude caused him to rebel. Thus Paul became the apostle to the Gentile. Not because of Peter but because his fellow Jews refused to accept Christ.

The sayings in books to the effect they are evil this might apply to a different Middle Eastern place. Christians and Jews might still not admit in religious writings Sumerians existed. There is no reason to anymore because everyone has animosity towards so called Free Trade this has replaced Sumer. If Greed were to have a place set aside to worship it there would be less animosity among everyone. Since Greed is a belief found among everyone if it can be separated from humanity and placed under the law other places must abide by that it can be worshipped by anyone as long as it does not interfere with the freedom of other religions and the freedom of the nonreligious.

All of Genesis has been found in Sumerian and Akkadian languages a thousand years before they were written in hebrew.

Why would I have animosity against them, just because they had different views than I do is no reason to hate them. Even Jesus wouldn't have hated them. He would have tried to teach them about His Father, and His Father's love for us and the world.
