I think C S Lewis had this quite poetically:
"You come of the Lord Adam and the Lady Eve, and that is both honor enough to erect the head of the poorest beggar, and shame enough to bow the shoulders of the greatest emperor on earth."

Why?? Did you forget to go to church or put it off for some silly reason? Not a problem as god is omnipresent he'll hear your apology and request for forgivness from where ever you are.
Did you do something stupid against the laws of god? Then you'll have to do the same and try to do better (and be ashamed of your actions).
Otherwise be happy and enjoy life, help others and pray when you can. He sees all and hears all so he'll know.

You shouldn't be ashamed of what you believe in, But if you have done something that makes you feel ashamed then you probably should be!!

Ashamed of what? Probably not. I think you'll know when you have truly done something wrong. (ie; Harmed someone in any way)

No. I dont know what you are asking, but no. unless you did something very wrong you shouldnt be ashamed of anything, especially religion.

Well, according to Mark Twain,,,We are the only species that blushes, or ever needs too....if the thought of what you did, makes you blush...then yes, you should be..repent and you will feel better.
