I think so. I was happily zzz'd away this morning like a good little heathen when I was rudely awakened by a knock at the door and the question "Have you heard the good news about christs ressurection" No, I haven't heard. 2 thousand years or so and that info hasn't reached me yet- thank you so much for waking me and telling me. What makes these muppets think that if the worlds greatest thinkers, philosophers, and religious leaders havent been able to convince me, that Maureen Fletchly and her moron mate will by showing up on my doorstep? Have you ever been disturbed by a door to door athiest as your sitting down to say grace? No, no you havent- so kindly piss off and let me enjoy my weekend in peace.
Ban door to door christians!..

Theres a big difference betwwen freedom of speech and freedom to impose on peoples personal space. If you havent considered this you may want to go do some research instead of simply going "No way man!" and relishing that sense of moral superiority.

Christians have been value by Christ to instruct the Gospel. Matthew 28:18-20. sure, some could be militant of their coaching and for this i'm sorry. a real Christian may assist you to understand why you like Christ and instruct you the gospel. in case you refuse, they could desire to no longer get disillusioned. inspite of each and every thing Jesus and the apostles too have been scorned. they could desire to in common terms pass directly to the subsequent soul.

Put up a No Soliciting or No Trespassing sign. People have a right not to be disturbed in their homes by uninvited and unwanted guests.

You get a star just for having been woken up so rudely, and for sharing that story! I just read it aloud to my family and your idea is met with applause!
While the US is a free country, that does not mean we must tolerate harassment or intrusion. We have a nice, descreet little plaque on our door forbidding solicitation. We are also listed on the national "do not call" register. They both seem to work.

Actually some JW's woke me up yeasterday morning, right after I had posted the previous day how they should bring pizza and combine their journeys to reduce carbon footprints. I saw this as Karma and promptly converted to Budhism.
Stopped me from having a lie in though, i didn't mind I did my washing instead.

I once saw a door that had a sign that said " No Jehovah's witnesses"
Now that's the religious sign we were looking for!!!!
Yes it should be banned and all telemarketing too.
It's harassment.

For some reason, Christians are never content with keeping their religious beliefs to themselves. They feel a strong urge to "spread the word," which is really just a fancy way of saying, "get more people to convert."
Yes, they should be banned. I'm sure my local government wouldn't be thrilled at the idea of me going door to door.

I would like it if they would at least avoid my door. They woke me up yesterday morning and I got so angry at being awaken when I needed sleep so much. I think I will soon put a sign on my door "missionaries, don't waste your time with me"

Please tell me where in the United States Constitution does it describe your right to NOT be inconvenienced?
Are you so shallow and selfish that you are offended by having to spend one minute of your day telling a stranger that you don't wish to talk to them? Is your day so packed with activities like internet porn and watching the neighbor's wife sunbathe that you can't tear yourself away for a thirty second conversation?
This is America. We have the right to express our opinion, no matter how much it may "offend" or "inconvenience" you. Grow up. Build a six foot high electric fence around your property you miser.
