No, neither, any more than I believe the apocalyptic myths of any other culture.
The number 666 refers to the Roman emperor Nero, whose name adds to that number in the Hebrew convention. Nero was notorious for being the "first persecutor" of early Christians. Similarly, "Babylon" was simply a cipher for Rome, which sits on seven hills.

yes to one, no to the other.
Revelation was not writtten as an end time prophecy it was a very modern day (ancient Roman) allegorical letter of hope about Christian persecution to the 7 churches of Asia. It was about them truimphing the exile imposed upon them and the Lord saving them. Not about the end of the world.
For those that keep trying to predict the end of the world out of it, you will fail. Jesus himslef particularly states only the Father will know.
And 666 is yet another King James bad translation fallacy. Other times it has been translated as 616, 665, 686 but followers of the errant translation of King James pushed it so much it has become a common acceptance among the general population even though it is not true. By the way code stood for Nero.

Yes, The time no one knows. Even as He gave , not even the Son Himself. Only the Father. Not until his enemies--and the earth--are wholly in subjection to His will, His powers, can He return, we must make a way for Him to come. First He must come into the hearts of man first, this is the preparing.
666, man triune being body, soul, and spirit. The beast, our lower nature as beastly, and the number of the beast, representing the ultimate idol before God, self and self-centeredness.

Yes. The Second Coming is also the Day of Vengeance. In Zechariah 14 it tells of this day. It will occur when all the armies against Israel are gathered at Jerusalem to attack it.
Everyone wants to know exactly what the number 666 really is, and how it will show up. I would too!

I don't believe in the first coming of christ .It's all a big lie.
To people who believe 666 is inherently evil look at page 666 of your bible.
Wonder how many churches will refuse $666.

Should not have christ stated the precise time of his comeback ?
or does the Church fear that if they would have written the exact date in the Bible then when christ would not have shown up then there Religion would be Questioned.
