NO. I have been a practicing ATHEIST for OVER 50 years... and my personal belief is that it is BETTER to have a BRAIN and NO RELIGION than to have a religion and no BRAIN.
Religion is a scam... it appeals to the weak and the weak minded and the SOLE reason for religion (which is a MAN MADE CONCEPT) is to control the masses... it is ALL about control...
That is why 'GOD' only talks to the people through the 'priests'...
I was born and raised Catholic... went to the Sister's of Loretta for Grade School and to a well know Jesuit High School... I was being groomed to become a PRIEST... then, when I started REALLY STUDYING religion and realized what a sham the whole thing is... how... if you used the same weapon AGAINST religion that religion uses against their faithful... LOGIC.. then religion falls apart... it's dogmas and beliefs suddenly look very ridiculous.
I have had more religion in my life than any 10 'believers'... and I see religion as a very bad JOKE being played on the gullible.
