God showed Himself to all those people in the bible but why not me or you? Why do I have to hear their "WORD" from the mouth of others?

Surveys say that over 90% of the population believe their is a God or higher power then how come the 10% are the ones who say prove it? We know their is a God because we are wired thay way.

Matthew 16: 28 Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.

Mark 9:1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

Luke 9:27 But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God.

Does this mean Jesus lied? He didn't come back before they died and He still hasn't...

When I was little, I was TRUE believer. Then Sunday school came in and some of the stories didnt make sense to me. School didnt make my faith any stronger. Around 9th grade, I started learning about the history of all religions especially Christianity. It was like the more I learned, weaker my faith became; Praying didnt help either. Every now and then when my life gets incredibly up bearable, I mock God to see how bad He can really make it. By the end of high school, I was thought God to be a prick. Now im sitting getting ready to say out that I denounce God. Should I have ignored religion's history? Is ignorance bliss?

Paul says "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." in Ephesians 2:8-9

John the Revelator says "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works." in Revelation 20:13

So what is it? Are you granted salvation by faith alone, or are you granted salvation by being judged on your works?

could God have been a man from the future who used time machine to travel back of time and use a cloning machine to create Adam and Eve? or are we, humans, and earth are simply a project which was supposed to be done by E.T.s or any other superior creatures? why God left only the Holy Spirit upon us?
