Edge, You making Light the above Verse. Jesus cannot be saying I have a God here, and at the same time say he is God. it makes No sense. Therefore the " Oneoness" must be Oneness in Thought and Purpose. To believe that the Creator of all life Died is Ridiculous.

If Jesus is Equal To God than Why would the Scriptures say:
“The head of the Christ is God.”—1 Corinthians 11:3
Jesus is his Own Head?....I Think Not.

Yes, I like your point. It seems every self proclaimed "christian" who posted here would rather believe his tired dogma, than to believe Jesus' own words. I like John 14:28 where he says "The father is greater than I".

People have their politics (ie: religion) and strive are determined to be "correct" at all costs, rather than to have a humble attitude and actually learn (what a concept) from the scriptures. Clearly Jesus is NOT almighty God, if he himself has a god!

Sadly, Satan has blinded the minds of many. Even when given proof of God being greater than Jesus, they still refuse to see it or believe it. It takes humility to admit when one is wrong so rather than admit it, many continue to accept the traditions of men and not what the Bible really teaches----that Jesus is indeed God's Son. Nowhere does the Bible say that Jesus is God the Son. He is always called the Son of God and he does indeed state that our God is his God, just as the Scripture you quoted tells us. He says the same thing in the book of Revelation. No one ever prayed to Jesus while he was on earth---nor did he pray to himself---nor did he resurrect himself from death to life. All the miracles he performed, he gave credit, not to himself, but to his God and Father for allowing him to have the power to do them.
Satan the Devil knows that Jesus is not God. He tried to tempt him to turn away from God. Satan would have been a fool to think that he could actually tempt or mislead Almighty God. That is why he went after Jesus, who was not God and was able to be misled. Jesus had freewill, just as we all do, and thankfully, he did not allow Satan to turn him aside from doing his Father's will. He remained a faithful and loyal servant and continued to uphold God's holy name and to preach the good news of his Father's heavenly government.

Basic Christian theology teaches that Jesus was both God and man. He had two natures. He was divine and human at the same time. This teaching is known as the hypostatic union; that is, the coming-together of two natures in one person. In Heb. 2:9 that Jesus was ". . . made for a little while lower than the angels . . ." Also in Phil. 2:5-8, it says that Jesus "emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men . . ." Col. 2:9 says, "For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form." Jesus was both God and man at the same time.
Therefore, since he was a man (though not only a man) and since he was made under the law, and lower than the angels, it is natural to conclude that he would have someone that he would call God. In this case, is God the Father.
But we must make a clarification. To say that Jesus Christ is God is not as clear a statement as it needs to be. Christianity teaches that God is a Trinity; that is, God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To say that Jesus Christ is God is almost like saying that he is the Trinity, and that would make no sense. When the Christian say that Jesus is God, he really means that Jesus is divine in nature. Since God is three persons, and since Jesus is the second person in the Trinity, he shares the same divinity with the Father and Holy Spirit.
Having explained this, when Jesus says "Our God" it must be understood that Jesus is speaking as a man. But it does not mean he does not possess the divine nature as well.

It is not by Jesus that humanity is saved but by God's. If Moses or Jesus were in communion with God there would be no room for doubt because God would know the question before it was asked, however Jesus knows me not. He says that he ascends to the Father and to God, yet professes to know the nature of God. And the multitudes of nation wait for the saving of them from some imagined force created in the dellusion of a mad man. There is only God, **** with him and he will see to it that you suffer. If Jesus' words were true then he would not grovel and cry out why have you forsaken me when he died, it was not God which had forsaken him it was himself and his own arrogance. Follow the false prophet for eternity and pray that he will come but the world and creation of God is everlasting and none shall make it fall.

Pride, selfishness, they like sin, they believe in another religion etc. there are lots of reasons people go in the wrong direction. The trick is to make people think about what they believe rather than have a knee jerk reaction and reject what you are saying. Try reading Mere Christianity or the book I put in the source list.

Here are 3 quotes by a man that WAS an atheist until he realized he was wrong... C.S. Lewis

"100 per cent of us die, and the percentage cannot be increased."

"Christ died for men precisely because men are not worth dying for; to make them worth it."

"Now is our chance to choose the right side. God is holding back to give us that chance. It won't last forever. We must take it or leave it."

God Bless

It's one thing to tell someone something, it's another thing for them to understand, accept, or believe it.

Suppose you weren't religious at all and hadn't heard of Jesus. Suppose then I came up to you and said, "here, in this book, it talks about a great man named Jesus; it also says that he was the son of God and you have to believe that he died for your sins or else you're going to suffer forever after you die." What would your reaction be? Wouldn't you want something a bit more than a book to substantiate that claim? What would your point of reference be? What if someone came to you with a different book with a similar, but different, claim? How are you to discern between the two?

The answer is, of course, faith. Faith is believing something that cannot be readily proved within the scientific framework of physical measurement. People without faith do not understand it and call it fantasy. People with faith don't understand why others don't have faith. And, here's the rub: It's very easy to believe something out of indoctrination, and not faith, and call it faith. There is a very fine line between blind faith and "seeing" faith.

Faith is developed, over time, and cannot be forced, and is not a choice. True: Someone can desire to know God, but it is God who reveals Himself to someone and plants the seed of faith in their heart. But I cannot just "choose" to believe something because a book said it, or because someone threatens me with the idea of hell, or any other reason. Faith must develop naturally and organically, and to criticize someone for not having faith is actually detrimental to the development of their faith.

"Blessed be the GOD and Father OF our Lord Jesus Christ," (1 Pet.1:3)

(Jesus IN HEAVEN said:)

"`The one that conquers—I will make him a pillar in the temple of MY God, and he will by no means go out [from it] anymore, and I will write upon him the name of MY God and the name of the city of MY God, the new Jerusalem which descends out of heaven from MY God, and that new name of mine." (Rev. 3:12)

(Never in the Bible is the Father reported to refer to the Son as "my God," nor does either the Father or the Son refer to the holy spirit as "my God.)

Will you then follow the example of the angels in Heaven, when they worship the Lamb (Jesus) and Him who sits on the throne?

"Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands,
saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing."

And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying, "To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever."

And the four living creatures kept saying, "Amen " And the elders fell down and worshiped. "

First of all, prove that a man 2000 years ago said those words. You can't prove that anyone ever said those words, or taht the person that supposedly did is the son of some deity anyway. A 2000 yr old book is not proof of anything except that 2000 yers ago writers existed.

Secondly, just because you believe something doesn't make it true. Your religion is one of thousands, and none of them have proof either.

Stop trying to push your ideas onto others.

Jesus is God. The Bible is clear on that. However the God-head is a trinity. Thus while they are only one God the Son and the Father have separate forms. While Jesus was on Earth He had laid aside much of His power and relied on the Father. Thus while He was on Earth the Father was His God. Just as He is ours.

What about when Jesus said I am my father are one? Why do you deny that?

There are so many places in scripture where Jesus both showed and claimed to be God that to deny it is the height of folly.
