I got pretty fed up wth my soul a few days ago, and decided to flush it down the toilet. I definitely wanted to, so it definitely got flushed - but I haven't had to call a plumber. What gives?

I've been heavily considering a conversion to Judaism for a while now and am starting to study and begin practicing certain aspects. I read that certain customs are forbidden from practice by gentiles and would like to know which ones specifically, as I don't want to make such a transgression.

kind of dry or a church that clearly has LIFE in it but only sings repetitive praise choruses?

I'm not against the praise choruses --- if people like them, great. But for me I have a *deep* love of old hymns --- it actually makes me feel *less* worshipful to sing praise choruses than to sing old hymns that are packed full of God's truth.

Do I just need to suck it up and go to a church with music that I hate? Or go to a church where I'm totally excited to be praising God by singing hymns but everyone else seems half dead?

Anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm not trying to criticize anyone --- truly. But I feel like I have to sacrifice part of myself to go to either 'kind' of church!

Who actually create the idea of trinity?

"Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord." (Deuteronomy 6:4)

"...The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord." (Mark 12:29)

"And your God is One God: There is no God but He, ..." (The Qur'an 2:163)

Who write this?
"...we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity... for there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, another of the Holy Ghost is all one... they are not three gods, but one God... the whole three persons are co-eternal and co-equal... he therefore that will be save must thus think of the Trinity..."
(excerpts from the Athanasian Creed)

i have a wedding coming up and it's at a church i grew up in. i'm not happy about going back because a lot of people put me thru hell. how would you handle yourself when it comes to prayers? also, it's a pentecostal church so it's pretty extreme there.

Not society laws. But what they believe the law should be. Like prayer in school, the right to pro-choice. Creation in the class room and the 10 comandments on every courthouse step.

On my quest of further understanding.

I have a couple questions I would like answered.
1) Who goes to purgatory? Is it only Christians? Or is it a second chance for non-Christians?
2) Why would you go to purgatory and not straight to Heaven?
3) What exactly happens in purgatory?
4) How do you get out of purgatory?
5) Can you be trapped in purgatory forever?

I really would like your opinions and not a laundry list of verses. If you need to provide a verse for a question I don't mind at all. I just don't want an answer that is just verse after verse. I know I could look this up but I really prefer to hear from the people who believe in it. I think that leads to better answers.

And not for any potential devine retribution either, because even among Christians the existance of Hell is debated. Rather, I am simply asking if you fear the fact of your eventual dying, the snuffing of your existance, the fact that at some point in the not so distant future (in the grand sceme of things) you will no longer be alive.

Why or Why not?

I can understand why both sides are mad, but nothing will ever be solved by blowing each other to high heaven. According to both the Bible and the Quran, you are both descended from Abraham, and therefore you are one people whether you like it or not. Who cares whether the country is called Palestine or Israel?

I just watched an HBO documentary entitled "To die in Jeruselum". It was a powerful special that followed the families of a teenage palestinian bomber and her victim. Both girls were 17 years old and in high school, and both died before they ever had a chance at life. What was accomplished? Nothing. And this is God's will? (Or Allah's, if you prefer.) I think that such an illogical choice of action could only be the will of man, and not God.

by their families and the Jewish community as a whole?

If this is true, why do you feel this is necessary? It seems a little harsh to me...I'm a Christian, and I have family members that are atheists, but I don't treat them like some kind of pariah, or disown them.

Would you recommend him to Taylor Swift, who sings "Teardrops On My Guitar"? She sounds so sad in that song, and I think she'd feel better if she knew of Chuck's eternal love.

Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness.”—Matthew 7:21-23.

He gave many types (kinds lol) of lizards the ability to camouflage themselves so as not to be seen by their natural enemies.

But women cannot hide themselves from men.

Is this proof that God is unfair, or what?

What would it take to do this:

1.If everyone on earth were able to get along and treat everyone else with respect.

2.If everyone on earth was able to love everyone unconditionally, without reason.
