I really truly ask this question not to debate, but to truly learn something I may not know and to educate others:
I used to be a Catholic for 18 years. For 5 years now I have been Christian and below is why. These verses are also in the Catholic bible because I still have my Catholic bible. What do Catholics say about this? Have you heard these verses before? If you want Jesus in your heart, please contact me.
I Timothy 2:5-For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.
Questions: So wouldn't praying the rosasry be going against this? Wouldn't praying to Mary be going against this?
John 16:7-9-Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they believe not on me.

Christmas is just Saturnalia, a Roman festival for the God Saturn.
Easter is a pagan celebration of fertility.

Why do Christians celebrate these holidays that have nothing to do with their god?

I went to see him last Friday and he was so amazing. you could just feel and see Gods love radiating from this man. I cant believe so many people are critical of him. i came away from that evening of worship so renewed and joyful. if us Christians are not joyful than how do we expect to share the good news of Jesus Christ to non believers. i just want to know your thoughts of this incredible man of God.

They are SEPARATE entities. Jesus was born the son of God to the virgin Mary, but he was just a human being with powers and a goal from God. He died for us and sits at the RIGHT HAND of the father. God is the one talked about especially in the Old Testament, the all powerful deity. How can anyone say they are the same? And the Holy Spirit, well that one I have no idea bout, I usually just reject it as fancy terminology.

God put an angel with a flaming sword by the gate of Eden so no one could get to the tree of Life. Man said "screw you God". we don't want your stupid Tree of Life. We want a Mercedez Benz. "I don't think I would like living forever".

It makes me so sad that just because I have a diffrent belief that I am automatically one of the most hated people in the USA. I love my fellow mankind and live by a strict moral code because I have a concience, yet most people think I am ammoral and devious. I am a good person and I habitually help less fortunate people and aspire to help kids in Africa some day. I realize that there are alot of pompous atheists out there who critizice religon and try to dissuade deists just as much as deists try to persuade atheists of a god's existence. I could care less about anyone else's personal prefrences and I respect what ANYONE wants to belive.......

Yet I still am hated by many as soon as they find out I am an atheist

I know someone who is an incest survivor. She ran away from home (she was 21 at the time), and the last year has been hell. She's been living with me and she has a good job, but her family has recently disowned her, and now she can't get any of her documents (birth certificate, etc). I need to find resources to help her so that she can move on.

If you have been depressed for several years and have prayed, been going to church and read the bible daily. There are a lot of things going on to make me depressed but a person can only stand so much of feeling down all the time.

The Jehovah's Witnesses believes in a pantheon of "gods" (like Jesus, belly, Satan, angels, humans) but they only worship the Father as Jehovah God. I don't think that is true monotheism but henotheism. Jehovah's Witnesses must learn to understand that if Jehovah says there is no other God then it means the Israelites will consider other "gods" as false. But surprisingly they cannot categorize their Jesus as "false God" and yet they continue to call him Mighty God. Why?

"I am the LORD , and there is no other; apart from me there is no God." (Isa 45:5)

my parents arent' married, were never married. i just started crying uncontrollably for about an hour, bc i remembered something in the bible about god not loving illegit children. is that really in there, or was i just like, spazzing out?
