Is anyone else sick of all the atheists on yahoo answers? Anytime you post a religious question they have to cram in their 2 cents? I mean, if they don't believe in god or any other religion why look for religious questions? Even you post a really heart felt question they'll say something way out of line which is pretty rude and idiotic. But would some of my fellow Christians show themselves so I can actually see that their are some level headed people on here?

Why would God send us to hell? Religion is basically blind faith. There are so many different religions. Why is it our fault if we just weren't sure what to believe?

After a decade of taking albuterol, ventolin, and prednisone, I have not used any of these medications for over a year now since Jesus came into my life.

This is one small miracle, there are many more in my life.

How about you? Please share your story.

The Jehovah's Witnesses believed their Jesus is "a god" ("Mighty God" only) and Jehovah, the Father, is Almighty God. They would not identify whether Jesus is a "true God" or a "false God" according to their own version of John 1:1 (New World Translation). If that is true then they are not monotheists (believers in but one God only) but polytheists (believers in many gods) like the pagan neighbours of Israel.

A couple of friends and I are working on a project for history that has to involve conflict. I being Gnostic-Christian and all of us being philosophers and religion savvy want to do it on the conflict of Gnostic-Christian VS. Catholic faiths. It can be modern or ancient times--but only one--and has to have some primary sources as well as secondary. Any good websites or anything you could give us?

Since some here think that R&S is not for that... Religion=prayer, I personally don't see why people have a problem with it, in fact I think we have a right to ask for prayer in a spiritual question/discussion area. I can't believe some have been removed for asking for prayer.
Shoot me a quick amen if you agree and would like either to be allowed to keep your prayer request or have a special area for that.

I am a Christian, but I would like to know why so many people who consider themselves "Christians" get so offended or worked up by people who try to prove you wrong? If you really know what you believe, then why get so deffensive?

All they want to do is get a reaction out of you... They spend so much time trying to prove that God doesn't exist... but if he didn't exist why would they try to spend so much time proving that he doesn't? Kind of a waste of time eh?

I have never once seen a real psychic who is capable of telling the future, nor do I believe it is necessarily possible, but I believe I have a 'non-spiritual' explanation for the event if it ever did, or will happen. This relies on determinism being correct, though. Perhaps a chemical reaction within the human subconscious can be so mathematically clever as to completely size up the numerical data of reality to a certain extent and is accurately able to predict the course of events before it happens. This relies on an impossibly high amount of nonverbal cues, clues, and understanding--perhaps that is what intuition is? A mathematical subconscious understanding of all the variables leading to a glimpse of knowledge about what is to come?
Anybody have any thoughts on this matter? I'd love to hear them.

If god can cause a great flood, then how could he just stand by and watch the nazi regime commit genocide on the Jews? Millions of jews died horrible deaths. Why did he not stop that. Maybe he sent Hitler ( Joshua) and his army to kill the Jews(Jericho) for not accepting his son as the mesiah. Who knows?
