Blame it all on Adam and Eve. God made us to live forever and He would take care of our very need. But then Adam just had to had the one thing he couldnt have - the knowledge of good and evil.
Voila- instant turmoil.

We're a complex species.
We have evolutionary leftovers of aggression, need to dominate (see sports lovers), which conflicts with our desire to have good nations and communities.
Our brain tells us to kill anything we encounter which is new or strange.
