I have never once seen a real psychic who is capable of telling the future, nor do I believe it is necessarily possible, but I believe I have a 'non-spiritual' explanation for the event if it ever did, or will happen. This relies on determinism being correct, though. Perhaps a chemical reaction within the human subconscious can be so mathematically clever as to completely size up the numerical data of reality to a certain extent and is accurately able to predict the course of events before it happens. This relies on an impossibly high amount of nonverbal cues, clues, and understanding--perhaps that is what intuition is? A mathematical subconscious understanding of all the variables leading to a glimpse of knowledge about what is to come?
Anybody have any thoughts on this matter? I'd love to hear them.

**stretches fingers** I type too much. Heh. Anyways.

That is a very valid way of determining future events to a certain degree. Another aspect of this is empathy; namely in pagan respects, the ability to sense another's spirit and gain information about them in that way. It's more than just nonverbal clues. With the above you mentioned, plus even a tad bit of empathy, one can make Some predictions of the future, with Some accuracy (really no different than the weatherman)

However, I do believe that the vast majority (if not all) psychics selling their services are fakes, and use tricks and standard answers to get money from people.

People who do have skill with the manipulation of energy almost never guarantee perfect success with all people, for the simple reason that some people are bloody hard to read.

However, I have done tests that would prove the existance of energy work if I didn't panick (and thus loose my skill -.-) anytime I'm "officially" put to the test. Things like, I attempt to convey a certain emotion or effect (like lust, I'm good at that) on a person, without touching them, without making a sound, with them blindfolded and facing the opposite direction. Or, back to back, not touching, my husband conjures some spheres of energy in the air, and I have to count them. On the sphere thing, if I'm not being watched, and am calm, I'm right 95% of the time, even up to numbers as high as 16 (after that, I start getting dizzy, why, I don't know.)

So, I Do know energy manipulation exists. Divination is simply the art of reading into energy flows (and non verbal clues) to gain an insight into the future.

I dont know enough about Biology or Chemistry

Nor do I think society knows enough about how the brain works to be able to even examine that type of phenomenon.

It is an interesting Hypothesis, but I dont think we know enough to even test for it.

None the less though it is an intriguing concept. Personally I think it might make a great plot for a novel or story if the main character has an advanced form of this "intuition"

You could very well be on to something here.I'm a Theoyologist and I believe you should do more study and research in this area.
Psychics have been putting the snookers on the gullible for years.

I have premonitions. The reason for these premonitions is beyond me but what you say makes a lot of sense.
