Yes, you do!
I have read many of your answers and you do know what it means, (wink wink).
Its a good question to get them thinking but, as I said in my last answer, Satan can't resist questions like these!

A true Christian is one that lives his life, as Jesus did His, and becomes holy as Jesus was holy. A true christian will have been called by God to the true Church(called out ones).
A true christian will have his Sabbath on the seventh day, not the first. A true Christian will not honor all the false holiday
(Christmas, Easter, Halloween). A true will love every one, he will not be trying to save any one, because he knows Jesus came and did that, rather, he would be telling every one about the gospel(good news about the world tomorrow, and the Kingdom of God), and he would be telling you to repent. and believe od Jesus Christ. A true will be obeying Gods commandments. A true christian will live in this world, but would never become a part of it.

A true Christian is one that has been born again (from above). And instead of living for self now they live for glorifying Jesus, the savior of mankind.
The reality of God and the triune God becomes realer than before. You get totally humbled realizing the sinfulness and meaninglessness of yourself and see how holy God is and worthy to be the center of one's attention.
There is an actual change in heart. The heart's disposition changes and the person actual senses the Spirit of God leading and directing their life.
It is a experience that is done to the person by God who enlightens, who opens blind spiritual eyes (hence the song Amazing Grace's words) and quickens to life the dead spirit within us to be resurrected with Christ.
All this is very hard and even impossible to understand for those who have not experienced the saving grace of God. The unbelievers will think I'm delusional and nuts..........but frankly what man thinks of my description in not the end all. I am extremely thankful for this great work the Lord God has done in my life. He chose me before the foundations of the world (ephes 1), did he choose you too?

A true Christian is a person who believes that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior and pattern their life on his teachings and deeds and are way too busy getting their own life in order to judge someone else. For it is written to not tell your fellow man about the speck in his eye when you have a plank in yours.
Also a true Christian is a human being who will fall short often, and we need to forgive others as we wish to be forgiven; that's why Christ was needed because we all fall short and none of us are perfect.

A true Christian is a person who has put his or her faith and trust in the person of Jesus Christ and fact that He died on the cross as payment for sins and rose again on the third day to obtain victory over death and to give eternal life to all who believe in Him. John 1:12 tells us: “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” A true Christian is indeed a child of God, a part of God’s true family, and one who has been given new life in Christ. The mark of a true Christian is love for others and obedience to God’s Word (1 John 2:4; 1 John 2:10).

So few words for such a big question!
To me, a "true" Christian is one who has read and understood the bible, read the Gnostic texts, read about the history of the bible and how it has been altered and mistranslated through time. They should read pro-bible stuff as well as anti-bible stuff to get the whole picture. They should read the history of the church and know what has been done in the name of religion. At the end of all that study, a person should take only the words attributed to Jesus by people who actually knew him, and follow those. No Old Testament, no Paul, just the stuff that's supposed to come from the man himself, like the Gospel of Thomas.
That would be a good Christian, and a good person besides. That's a person I could really respect.

Trust me, most of the so-called 'Christians' do not either.
People who accepted Jesus the Christ as Savior, then chose to be obedient to Him and imitate His lifestyle were eventually called Christians by those who observed their habits. This was in the city of Antioch before 50 A.D.
Since then the word has really lost its meaning.
The key to being a Christian, is not when you proclaim yourself to be one, but when others observe Jesus Christ in your lifestyle and call you one. In a funny way they almost accuse you of being a Christian.
"Oh, he is one of those, he does not drink, does not go to parties, and does not go to dances, he must be a Christian"
"But, I know of a lot of 'christians' who do those things"
"I am talking about those "OTHER" Christians".
It is easy to get confused. Under the title of Christianity just about everything good or bad on the earth has been done.
Yet, Jesus Christ said, "You will know them by their fruits (or lifestyle)"
This is how you identify a Christian.

1John 2:3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Romans 2:13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
Revelations 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

A person is a Christian once they have entered into (accepted) the covenant of the New Testament with a sincere and repentant heart. This covenant provides forgiveness of sin and salvation of the eternal soul thru Jesus, Son of the one true God.
It really IS that simple.

A true Christian follows God, by Jesus' example. We trust in the Holy Spirit of God because we are fully aware of it and it reveals His truth. God is not a belief.
Beliefs are dangerous if you trust blindly. When you know God you are in no danger of blasphemy. You do not fear evil spirits. You trust the grace of God alone. Nothing can shake your faith. You distrust nothing. Even evolution is just an explanation of creation. Science can never disprove God. He reveals all truth.
He guides us, absolutely no doubt about it.
