It's time for the theists to face the facts. True original sin is ignorance. We are all born ignorant. Nobody is guilty for what anyone has done in the past. Knowledge is salvation. That is what the first christians believed. The opposite of what modern christians believe. Although I wouldn't call it a sin because it is curable.

It depends on what you think sin is? Consider this; Undiluted evil, complete error, willful sin, and unmitigated iniquity are inherently and automatically suicidal. Remember what goes around comes around." P.41 - §6 God loves the sinner and hates the sin: such a statement is true philosophically, but God is a transcendent personality, and persons can only love and hate other persons. Sin is not a person. God loves the sinner because he is a personality reality (potentially eternal), while towards sin God strikes no personal attitude, for sin is not a spiritual reality; it is not personal; therefore does only the justice of God take cognizance of its existence"

it is way past time we say goodbye to the original sin and the supposed punishment. To date those who still hold on to them do so of their own accord because christianity is no longer mandatory

We are talking about people that believe in a god that was once pleased with animal blood sacrifices and then needed the blood of Christ to wash sins......what more can you say....don't ask them to make sense

Does saying goodbye of Original Sin make you pure? Does it really rid you of sin just saying "goodbye" to it?

It is a completely unbliblical concept, so yes it is about time to drop it.

The concept that a child is born automatically sinful because of something his ancestor did is simply silly.

It certainly is time to say goodbye to the out dated ideas of the Bible..... It's been time ever since the darn book was put into print. Modern man shouldn't have been afflicted with the plague of religion since the printing press brought him the "complete" heap of dung to read for himself..... and if modern man had been a tad more modern, he would have rejected its nonsense immediately.

I agree. Perfect little babies are not born with "original sin". If karma and reincarnation exist, then it is not up to us to "judge" people. Life will give them exactly the challenges they need.

Individually? Yes! By entering into (accepting) the covenant of the New Testament for the salvation of the eternal soul and forgiveness of sin thru Jesus, Son of the one true God.
