Why any of us? We are all the winners of the greatest lottery ever. All the events from the big bang to our conception and birth are an amazing chance of probabilities.

popular phrase uttered by people who believe that they are special of he other living creatures on earth and that accidental/incidental events (like a poor ant who gets squashed by my shoes) shouls not happen to them because unlike the ant and other living organisms, they are special to some sky daddy
