Why so much violence in Israel? Do Palestinians really think suicide bombing is God's will?

I can understand why both sides are mad, but nothing will ever be solved by blowing each other to high heaven. According to both the Bible and the Quran, you are both descended from Abraham, and therefore you are one people whether you like it or not. Who cares whether the country is called Palestine or Israel?

I just watched an HBO documentary entitled "To die in Jeruselum". It was a powerful special that followed the families of a teenage palestinian bomber and her victim. Both girls were 17 years old and in high school, and both died before they ever had a chance at life. What was accomplished? Nothing. And this is God's will? (Or Allah's, if you prefer.) I think that such an illogical choice of action could only be the will of man, and not God.

The Palestinians don’t have the modern weaponry available to them, nor do they have the financial backing of the US government. For them it is a case of desperate times that require desperate measures. If you do a body count, they have lost many more lives and suffered many more injuries than the Jews in Israel. The US media skews the situation in its usual manner to make them look all bad and the unprovoked bad guys. It is a very complicated situation over there that began with the Zionist movement. One Jew dies and it is viewed as a catastrophe. One hundred Palestinians die and it is viewed as good news. The situation in Israel is a perfect example of how religion poisons everything. UN in easy words approved a jewish state by a international vote, israel declared itself as a state. 2. the 1948 conflict lasted 10 months from would 1948 to march 1949. what you're talking about is the 6 day conflict, which befell in 1967. 3. hamas has a political wing, a protection force wing and a civil wing. hamas is the in easy words political organization that builds colleges and can provide to the persons jointly because the protection force wing commits act of terrorism, my opinion is that the persons chosen them more advantageous because of the civil wing and a lot less because of the protection force wing. so the conflict isn't adversarial to the palestinian human beings, its adversarial to hamas

I agree with a couple of the readers, it is about getting their land back. Recently I asked a question as to what you would do if you built your dream house, only to have it taken away from you and you were forced to live in a shed yet able to see the new residents living in this house. Do you know what the majority said - Fight - go through law it is your right. This is why you have what you do, these people have had their rights taken away - It is in desperation that these people do what they do, they have nothing left and nothing to lose. Everything that is happening is more political than religious. I am not saying that bombings are the way to go in Islam you are not allowed to take your own life.

The question is why so narrowly focus that you end up with only murder-suicide." Killing people and GETTING AWAY with it is far worse! In World War II, the Japanese used kamikaze bombers. In recent history,Suicide bombings were actually started by Tamils in Sri Lanka, and the technique was copied by Palestinians. "It has elevated the suicide attack to the ultimate commitment to the movement.

"The Tigers did not invent the suicide attack, but they proved the tactic to be so unnerving and effective for a vastly outmanned fighting force that their methods were studied and copied, notably in the Middle East.

"Of all the suicide-capable terrorist groups we have studied, they are the most ruthless, the most disciplined," said Rohan Gunaratna, a research fellow at the Center for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. He said the group was responsible for more than half of the suicide attacks carried out worldwide.

"Until Sept. 11, "they were the deadliest terror organization in the world," one American official said. They used men, women, children and animals; boats, trucks and cars. They mounted suicide attacks on the battlefield as well as off.
Suicide has long been part of the Tiger culture. Tigers were given cyanide capsules and told to use them if captured. Many did."

You are in the position of being able to see a land invaded and occupied.
The Israelites want the Arabs gone from what they are claiming as their land.
The Palestinians want the Israelis to go back to Europe or where ever they came from.
You are not watching just a change of government.
You are watching one group of people being forced off their lands by another group, possibly ceasing to exist as a people because of it.

The last time this happened was when the Europeans took over the Americas.
Religion is secondary to the chance to grab some land or the attempt to hold onto it.

People do what they have to to liberate their country. What you call terrorists,I call resistance operatives. The Nazis called the Polish Underground terrorists. And the the French Underground. And the Yugoslav Resistance Movement. Etc. They just want their country back. Nobody is persecuting jews in the U.S.,Canada,the UK,Australia,etc. They have plenty of places to live. They do not require a "safe haven" from American pogroms and death camps. If they just want a jewish majority country,Guyana is rich,fertile,underdeveloped,cash-starved,has huge potential and is currently open to all immigration. Muslims are moving there is large numbers,so it will likely become a Muslim majority,not a jewish-majority country. Perhaps Muslims are smarter than jews. Better fighters,too - those jews in Palestine have an army like France's but Nasrallah defeated them handily when they invaded Lebanon in 2006.

Hate is like a plague....it spreads from one person to another, until it infects everyone who comes in contact with it.....hate can take over a person's very soul till they can't tell right from wrong anymore...getting even is all they ever think about. They will sacrifice their children to get even. When a Mother can strap a bomb on her only son and talk about how proud she will be the day he blows himself and other innocent people to smithereens....I don't want to know these people...they are sick with hate...

It will never end until Jesus returns and puts an end to it..
