When people try to make themselves believe things they inherently know are false, they come up with all kinds of contradictory nonsense.

First of all I need to set you straight.

Witches don't have demon friends. Sure there is white magick and black magick, but in general the religion of Wicca follows a simple reede. And as ye harm none do as ye wilt.

It's almost like the golden rule, only without the doing unto others parable.

Wicca give thanks to the Lord and the Lady, the Goddess and God for all that is placed upon mother earth for our substance.

You have to remember what was happening in history during the Salem Witchcraft trials. Religions were springing up left and right, and if you didn't go to church every sunday and study your Bible, you were usually brought before the tribunal for witchcraft. Back then there wasn't a lot of evidence to use to prove one of being a witch, so laws were created which were followed to determine whether or not someone was a witch.

If found guilty of witchcraft (and one of the most common was either miscarrages or stilbirth) one was either burned at the stake or hanged.

Talk about archaic laws.

The only requirement of atheism is lack of belief in god or gods. You can believe anything else and still be an atheist. Most atheists are also naturalists and don't believe in the supernatural, but according to the definition of atheism, you could technically be an atheist and believe in supernatural occurrences other than god. Unless you live in some country ruled by the Taliban, I highly doubt you would ever be burned for being a witch. This is the 21st century, not the 15th.

equally as plausible??? Well I guess anythings possible if you squint with one eye...

But witch burning was started with logic based thinking that had no grounding in the Bible. Jesus cast the demon out of a psychic. Not burned them at the stake. But logic of the day was used to subdue the heart...

All change comes from the heart. And the Holy Spirit is the only one who claims to renew the soul and heal past the callousness that led to witch burning.

Excuse me?? The "witches' demon friends"???? What are you suggesting? Are you in favor of burning people at the stake?? That would be murder. Are you in favor of serial killers and terrorists as well?? This is an ignorant question.

I don't know. I think it shows the ignorance of the people that have these silly beliefs.

Witches DON'T have demon friends. The belief that they do simply shows the ignorance of the believer.

It just goes to show you how ridiculous people can be. It's like claiming to be a "right to lifer" but believing in the death penalty.

Most people see a difference between burning people to death and simple superstitions.

Wow, you are one angry and hateful person, aren't you?

Get off your high horse and see that a Wiccan's beliefs are equally as plausible and valid as yours.
