Or a Muslim tell a Christian how they should understand the New Testament?
If not then why to Christians feel that they can tell Jews how they should understand their own scriptures???

I mean how would you feel if someone borrowed a book from you that your parent wrote, and then told you how you should understand it.

Muslims DO tell Christians how they're wrong....especially on here.
And as far as Christians telling Jews how to understand "their own" scriptures....you know that the Jewish scriptures are in both the Bible AND Koran also....right?

You know, I just read an answer to a question that said
"Jews believe jezus was a prophet".
And of course there is the old "Jews believe he was a great man", I see that one a lot too.
Doesn't anybody notice, though, that no JEW ever says jezis was a prophet or a great man??!
Anyway, I was just about to post nearly this same question, and seeing the answers I've got to say, I'm sorry you are the one who lost five points.
I don't think they get (or just don't want to get) that the OT is a VERSION of('borrowed', altered and NOT identical to-) the Torah and that maybe, just maybe, we DO know how to read our own book, as well as what we believe!
These same people claim love of Israel and 'the Jewish people' but don't respect us enough to let us answer our own questions about our own beliefs. Nor do they understand the damage they do to Jewish - xtian relations as a whole.

You have it backwards. The first Christians WERE Jews, and Messianic Jews are still in existance today; they continue to teach. Messianic Jewish scholars such as Dr. Michael L. Brown and Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum are dedicated to the teaching of a true understanding of the Scriptures from a Jewish viewpoint. Further, what Gentile Christians teach is merely a reflection of what we were taught by Jews.
I know you don't want to hear this, but it's the truth.

Why would a Christian want to read the Koran and then try to teach or interpret the book for them. Christians use the bible and that is what they should be using.

That is a very good point! I agree.I am a Christian and think you are right. God is bigger than me. He talks to the Jewish people ther way He wants to. (I think they got a special bond)I just feel happy I have a spot in His plan!

I can honestly say, I have never tried to tell a Jew how he should interpret the bible...I actually don't know anyone who is Jewish....if they are, they have never mentioned it. We are just about all Baptist, Methodists or Pentecostal, here on the Coast...there are some Indian people here,,and Vietnamese......but we don't talk religion...
I have enough unsaved people around me to try and convert,,,I really don't think I am qualified to try and make a Jew see what the Christian sees in relation to the OT....and Jesus..but who knows....if God put someone in my path, I would try to do my best.

The Jews are being cautious. They want to be 100%, before saying anything about who is the Messiah. They're not in denial, just uncertainty. A prophet is measured by the prophecies. If one is wrong, the whole claim comes into question. They are not 100%.

I couldn't care less how Jews understand their own Scriptures. But aren't you the guy looking for Christians to debate? It sounds like you want to tell us how to interpret your scriptures. Why don't you interpret it your way, and I'll interpret it mine?

Follow original Holy Scriptures revealed to Prophets (pbut) and interpret as interpreted by Prophets (pbut).
Unbelievers and materialistic people made changes in Holy Scriptures or in their interpretations.
