Actually in the OT there were over 300 commandments or laws that the Israelites had to follow, however because of God's great love for His people He brought forth these 10 which really is can be narrowed down to these two-
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength- and love your neighbor as yourself.
