FYI this is NOT to be rude, I was just wondering because if "sin" is against God and you don't believe in God, do you believe in "sin" and what is the definition

Not attacking agnostics, but it seems to me there is either a god, or there isn't and "I don't know" might be a valid position for a person to hold, but it occurs to me that there is no middle ground in such a debate, it's black or white, there is no, well, it kinda does and kinda doesn;t exist

Evolution as a branch of science is supposed to provide the foundations for human existence yet it cannot answer the concepts of soul, meaning, happiness, destiny, and love.

2007-11-01 04:57:53 · 15 answers · asked by Romanne P 1

I just really do not understand it. Often it is pointed out that evolution is "just a theory." But surely creationism is just a way that primitive humans tried to understand the world. As we progress we are learning things that make this belief ridiculous. Evolution does not claim to know everything, and we are learning more all the time and it may take 100's of years to know exactly whats involved, but the idea of a higher power creating us is just embarrassing to me. Why do some people still believe this?

If God speaks to you then does he come in a dream? A vision? A voice? A sign? or any of these forms?

I get visions, voices, and sometimes dreams but I am wondering if I am insane.

How much do you know about today, which is 'All Saints Day'? In many churches the names of those who died during the previous year are read......and remembrance is given to the lives they lived. Did you lose someone this year ? Today is a special day of remembrance for their lives.

According to definition, expierencing timelessness means perception of things that excluded time.

So if you were brushing your teeth, you would expierence before your teeth were clean, cleaning them and after they're clean all at the same time!

Technically you would not even exist, because you wouldn't be around long enough to.

This is no different from death in the non-afterlife sense.

People who have had near death expierences, say that they expierence timelessness.
This is extremily frightening to think about.

If you have had an near death expierence, when you expierenced timelessness; did you get this problem?
Because if there is no time (which is what they say), there is no way to expierence anything, or do anything.

...never mind that...
thing is...... if i wanted.. or maybe want ....to start a group of people together to -stop religions- in order to stop arguements and stop people from hating eachother for such non sense....
and people begin to actually agree with my point of view...

wouldn't that become some sort of cult? religion itself?....
O.o do any of you get me?....

I mean,... as crazy as it might sound... all i want is for people to understand that we don't need to believe in a religion... or give God a name,... etc.

(my point of view) ...we all believe different... so don't get angry if you don't agree... and yeah.. try not to be sarcastic about it... O.o

I mean he walked in to his own death, in other words, he knowingly commited suicide, thus Jesus committed a sin under his own laws.

Under injustice in the bible, the second argument says:
"God likes Abel's dead animals better than Cain's fruits and vegetables. Why? Well, no reason is given, but it probably has something to do with the amount of pain, blood, and gore involved"

If you want to talk about unreasonable arguments from ignorance, you got one right here. Just one from over 1,000 arguments with absolutely no solid ground.

Or this other one under injustices too:
#883: "Jesus blames his the Jews (who were then living) for 'all the righteous blood' from Abel to Zecharias"

I just started to laugh when I found it. How about proper diction when making an argument? The fact that Jesus blames the jews of anything is irrelevant to showing injustice in the bible, after all the Jews did kill him.

Don't all of you think the arguments should be reduced to the ones with solid ground, and then have Christians explain only those?

Modern technology would reveal that the big bang theory and evolution never happend and that an altenative to the beginning of life needs to be discovered. Would you believe in a creator? or what other origin would you beleive brought this universe into existence?

I mean no disrespect to your own beleifs. I'm just curious. Thank you

Look up in your bible Psalms 83:18 which says-
'That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth'

So you can see, even in your own bible, that God's name is Jehovah :)
