I mean he walked in to his own death, in other words, he knowingly commited suicide, thus Jesus committed a sin under his own laws.

Though I am not a Christian the way I see it is that he laid down his life for the sake of others; which as far as I know is one of the noblest things to do.

The fact is that if he had resisted he still would have been executed.

NO. And it does NOT say anywhere in the Bible that you do. The ONLY thing that will send you to Hell is rejecting Jesus Christ as your Savior. One of the 10 commandments is Thou shalt not Kill and I guess that is where people get that they go to Hell from. But the Bible does not say if you break a commandment you go to Hell. Once you are saved you can be forgiven for anything. When people get to the point in life where they are so down that they commit suicide they aren't thinking clearly anyway. If the person you are talking about was a born again Christian then yes they went to Heaven when they died. If they were not saved (had never asked Jesus to come into their heart and repented of their sins) then they would go to Hell when they died.

Hey ! That was not suicide ! You can say that establishment wanted him dead ! Do the soldiers who fight for our safety commiting suicide ? The moment one is born , his death becomes inevitable ! Are we all committing suicide by being born in this world? Jesus did not take his own life . He was one among some great persons who showed the right way and fought against the dogmas. This is not suicide ! It is courage !

If what Jesus did was suicide, then every criminal that has ever been given the death penalty and walked to his death committed suicide too. See how ridiculous that sounds?

Thanks for the Thumbs Down, wait until you meet Your Judge! He did not commit suicide. He unlike man was without any sin. He was the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He died for you, in your place for every sinner of the Ages. The Roman government executed Him at the behest of the Pharisees.

He didn't commit suicide. Other people condemned him and killed him. Yes, he knew it would happen but he did not take the action to kill himself. Not everyone who walks to their death is commiting suicide.
