In the Catholic Church all Souls Day (November 2) is the day we read the names of those who have died this year. All Saints Day is the day we remember the Saints. We sing their names in the Litany of the Saints and ask them to pray for us.

It's funny, but I didn't see a mass scheduled for today but for tomorrow evening with a supper. I thought All Saints and All Souls were both to be celebrated with a mass.

It is wonderful that there is an alternative to Halloween, but where are the All Saints movies and decorations? Hollywood, you are missing a trick!

This is also the Wiccan holiday Samhein. All Saints Day was adopted by the Catholics to honor their saints. Ex. Saint Christopher, Saint Mary, etc...

Happy All Saints day to you too, but remember Saints are not dead but fully alive in God.

to me i try to remember all the martyrs who have died
for the LORD. think of all the missionaries, street prophets,
and others who have put YESHUA first like Stephen did.
those who were martyried in the Roman Co. and in
the Crusades. who said NO you can't do that to YESHUA'S
name. for every person (like the girl at Columbine) who
said go ahead my life is HIS. they are a source of strength.
may i be so willing when my turn comes.

I was raised mormon but have been inactive for a long time. My children do attend with my uncle. I have nothing bad to say about the mormon religion. Organized religion is just not for me. My kids like to go and I like how the church emphasizes on Family.
