We are forgiven for all sins past, present, and future, if we believe that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again.

If you are truly sorry for what you have done, and for the hurt or pain you have caused others or yourself, and you are going to make your best effort possible to change your ways and make up for the pain you have caused others then he will ALWAYS forgive you. It is inevitable for us to only sin once, so we have to repent and show Jesus that we are sorry for what we did an will do our best to not commit that sin anymore.
If you have trouble with committing those sins over & over again, you need ask the Holy Spirit for the help and grace to overcome those sins.
Hope I could help

Thats a very thoughtful statement really....to feel sorry for Him.
We are so limited in our own ability to forgive, the idea that He would forgive over and over and over is mind boggling but true. If you can even begin to try to do that-for just a single person that maybe drives you bonkers and hurts you emotionally, you will appreciate God so much more.
It wasnt until I began practicing forgiving my husband that I realized wow, this **** hurts (because my answer was always to cut people off so they couldnt hurt me twice). It was through my own pain in forgiving that I understood the pain God goes through when we sin against Him and He forgives us still.
It makes you want to stop sinning.

The reason he can forgive is because his forgiveness has two parts to it. In 1 John 1:9 it explains it by saying "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
He does not just "overlook" sin. When he forgives it, he begins a process that lead us to be free of that sin. His goal is not to "gloss over" the problem, but to fix it so that we no longer continue to sin.
Lets face it, we all have multiple sins in our lives. Some serious, and some not so serious. But to God, they are all serious. So he forgives each, and then cleases or frees us from them so that we do not have to keep repeating them.
So the more sins he forgives, the better it is. Because he means he is getting us freer and freer of them.

Jesus is merciful and faithful to those who love and trust Him. Even if you commit a million sins but repent sincerely, He would... Just ask forgiveness directly, He always forgives. He said that nothing will snatch those He loves, out of His hands. "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

As Saint Augustine said. To sin is human, to persist in sin is altogether Satanic. Does that mean that Jesus won't forgive us if we TRULY repent? No. But if you don't mean it, He'll know.

1 John 1:7
"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."

he said on the cross
John 19:30When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
means he paid for all sin for all time from all men

see, that's one of the problems with religion, you can never achieve the perfection needed to attain the goal of heaven. Yet another reason to know that there is no god since its impossible to ever meet its standards
