#5. #2 is close. Evil is the absence of good, like cold is the absence of heat. When you do something that is less good than what you could do, you are choosing evil.
#3 is also meaningful since, in the absence of sentient beings, all action is morally irrelevant. The definition of "good" depends on what the community values. Some values, such as preserving life, justice and peace are more universal than others, such as monogamy, legal rights and freedom of speech. The practical applications vary, depending on how the community understands its nature and its relationship to its sub-communities and other communities.
#1 does not apply. An abscence is not "created". And #4 is a hoax, a refusal of responsibility for ethical decisions humans make.

you're genuinely appropriate - that's a thought - there is not any good judgment or reason you will possibly desire to have self assurance something that isn't provable. yet we've a superb variety of technological know-how that isn't yet got here upon or provable, basically a thought or theoretical. So shall we ask, is there theoretical evidence for the life of God? existence exists, yet guy won't be in a place to come to a decision how or why? score a million for God. we've an innate inner experience that all of us understand appropriate from incorrect that is going previous intuition? why - score 2 for God. on condition that all and sundry existence began from a unmarried journey, why the enormous variety? would not evolution force each little thing to a unmarried ideal existence style - is that the logical end to evolution? score 3 for God. once you finally end up in a existence or dying difficulty, for some unusual reason - the life of a God is now not puzzled. not plenty atheists return from wars.

hmm. what I find evil are...
2 - The absence of God
3 - Human natures which result in SOME man-made things.
4 - I'm not really sure that Satan does anything, but he does take us over or dwells inside things that are found to be evil (like ouija boards, etc). Which also goes with the absence of God.
This is my take on what's evil.

None of the above. Because evil is a state of being. People who are evil, serial killers, child molesters, rapists, and the like do evil because they like what they do, not for any reason you listed. One prime example is the BTK killer. In one respect he was a good husband and father. A good worker. And a serial killer. Another good example is Ted Bundy. He was an up and coming political entity in Washington state. He was a serial killer, who finally lost total reality and became a spree killer. What caused these things to happen. Some people say they are born that way. Others say it was conditioning in childhood. Others say who knows why.

2) most likely. Evil's 1st incarnation is Satan's pride-not content with his position (somehow) as G-d's right hand Angel...he concocted a plan to overthrow G-d (1st recorded coup). By shutting G-d out and conspiring against Him, Satan 'birthed' evil, but he isn't what evil is in total. That requires an individual 'removing' themselves from G-d and replacing G-d with pride, etc.
