We are told in Matthew Jesus will be called Emmanuel. Which means God with us. So Jesus is God with us. Seems to me that this means Jesus is God.

Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Three months ago, I used to be like rebel with her, and I would do anything that was bad, because I liked being "bad". But then my friend invited me to church and God changed my life, I keep going to church and doing God's will. My mom says I'm too fanatic... Do you think I should stop going to church and being so dedicated to God cause of her, or I should keep doing God's will which is what I want to do?

No, i'm not going to try and be a jerk or anything. consider this, If you Christians believe that God is true, and everyone MUST believe in Jesus to be saved, then what if It were Allah? How about A hindu God? Buddha? Zeus? Greek Gods, Norse Gods, Roman Gods, Japanese Gods, etc. The thing is, do you really expect us to just all expect to drop on our knees to something most of us don't believe in? What would you think, if you're a Muslim, and It turns out to be Jesus or a christian God? You might be disappointed wouldn't you? So, is it really such a big deal to assume that everyone has to believe in Jesus and expect to be saved? Can you be so 100% sure that their beliefs are folly and that we atheists are just blind to the personal belief of others? Do you think it is fair to others with their own personal belief? It's fine to believe what you want to believe, but what aboput everyone else? Have you thought about them?

So i've been thinking, and im pretty sure this question has been asked for the longest time but here it goes. Why does God let people die, especially if they're the nicest person. I just don't understand. Why do good people get diseases like cancer while bad people are spoiled with money? why? I just want to know. I believe in God and I've always been catholic but there are just some things i don't understand in life, and God hasn't given me the answers. I'm so confused.

I see religious tattoos used in negative ways. I find that offensive. Like cross or religious symbols on a girl sexual parts, or latino gangsters with Holy Mother tattoos on their chest and they would pray to it before they shoot or kill someone, and they believed the tattoos protect them from being shot or killed which give them selfesteeme and encourages to break more crimes . Theres pictures of hindu gods on girls sexual parts. Asian gangs have these buddha tattoos on their body and buddha teaches love and peace while they uses them as protection for hate and violance. Do you support these kinds of tattoos?

If the earth is only 6-10 thousand years old, as many creationists say, then there would never be time for fossilization to take place.
So, what kind of magical mumbo-jumbo do they resort to in order to explain the presence and age of fossils?

In Isaiah we read that the savior is the LORD. In the NWT version it says Jehovah where the KJV reads LORD in Isaiah.

Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

The New Testament makes it clear Jesus is our savior. Now if God Himself said there is no savior besides Him and the New Testament says Jesus is the savior there are only two choices.
1) Jesus is God
2) The Bible is wrong.

Just one verse of many where Jesus is called savior.

2Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

LOL Why are people so shocked when I defend a religious person? Just because I'm not religious doesn't mean that I won't support their rights and freedoms. Am I seen as too "evil" to stand up for good people or something? Most of us are pretty decent folks ya know. Feel free to give your opinions.

Note: John is the only "verily, verily" gospel account,
which allegorically compares two "contrary" things;
For mixing of contrary things makes an oxy-moron.

So my question is John 3:16 -or- John 3:17 for you?

John 3:16 Law & Son Limited: Destructive, Sacrifice-all
John 3:17 Grace & Son Unlimited: Constructive, Merciful

Pst: Either make the tree good(grace) OR corrupt(law).

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:17
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn (law) the world; but that the world through him might be saved (graced).

It's not nearly as obvious, but if you really 'think' about it:
John 1:1 - LAW (Word)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:2 - GRACE (Word)
The same was in the beginning with God.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
