dear helper, thats very true, many who "call" themselves belivers will be cast into hell. heres How we know whether were true belivers. The Bible says sin is transgression of the law. In other words, if we have lied, stolen, looked with lust, used Gods name in vain ec, then we have broken Gods Holy law, and becuse God is Holy the bible says we wil recive his justce (hell). but heres the good news, jesus died for you, you and I broke the law, But God is so merciful he sent his son to pay the price on our behalf. So heres how to know whether were saved or not. Those who realize that they have borken the law of God but that jesus died for them and repent (turn from sin) and trsut in jesus will be saved. if we will repent and trsut in christ and trust in his atoning work ont he corss God will svae us and make us a new creature with new desires, we wont simply belive in God but rather we wil know him. unless we can guranteee 110% that we wil take another breath and thta our heart will make another beat, then its worth putting aside everything to think about our eternal destiny, I hope you will.
God Bless

When they asked Peter,,what must we do to be saved...he was pretty clear..

Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Act 2:37 Now when they heard [this], they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men [and] brethren, what shall we do?

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.

I have done this,,,Repented, been baptised in the name of Jesus....received the Holy Spirit with the evidense of speaking in tongues.....I stand on his promise....I am saved...

No one will know until the day of judgement. The Bible is very clear on that.
However, by professing our faith and showing evidences of our faith through a Christ-like lifestyle of service to God and our fellow man, we are much more likely to sit on the right hand of the Father in Heaven than someone who does not.

What I like of that verse is that Jesus said many not few but many are going to be rejected by Jesus Christ.

many people thing that because believe that Jesus is the son of God and died they are saved that is necessary but not enough.

satan is a believer as well as all of his demons...and yes they are all going to hell...and just because you live in a chicken coop doesn't mean you're a chicken.

Romans 10:9 and 10 tells me that I KNOW I am saved and God is not a man that He should lie.

Someone said one of the biggest ways you can tell is you feel truly contrite for all your sins. I went through this. Lots of crying and it's not like I am such a big sinner committing huge law breaking sins. But when I started on my relationship with God I could not stop crying about my sins. My pastor said alot of people feel contrite about their sins because they got caught or consequence. But to feel "Godly" sorrow for your sins is knowing what you did was a sin against God and you are sorrowful regardless of the consequence.

In my religion there is no guarantee of being saved. We just have to strive to be righteous, pray for forgiveness, do good deeds and trust that God is the most merciful.

Actually the Bible tells us we can know we have eternal life. If we have eternal life we are saved. We know because we have faith in Jesus.

1John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
