Absolutely. Any god that made it this difficult to know whether or not he exists, which religion to follow, etc., had damn well better be pretty understanding if we humans can't quite figure it out.

Of course they are justified....not that they have to explain themselves to any body or make excuses. Yes, God would understand why.
God is pretty cool but may not understand the intolerance between Atheists and Believers. It's the actions of the individual and the choices of the soul that human beings make which are special.
Actions speak louder than words. When you choose God, you'll do it in your actions not your words. If belief is a choice in your mind, you probably do believe in God despite your claim to Atheism. You are an Agnostic - an undecided one at that.
God is not a "him".
It's ok to be an Atheist or a Believer but don't force it on the others. I'm a believer.

On the basis of your reasoning, as God is omniscient and presumably therefore all-knowing, all-understanding and all-forgiving , if he exists he would understand. Atheists are quite justified in their beliefs, everyone has a right to their own beliefs and conscience, it is a matter of freedom., free will and free expression.

it is after all, a personal belief. But i am not going to be surprised because, what if it isn't god, but Buddha, Allah, A hindu God, Japanese gods, Greek gods, or the Gods of any believers? Really, it doesn't matter what we believe in, it's only a personal choice. No one is right or wrong.

Obviously you have a right/free will to not believe in God if you choose. But personally I don't believe one is justified in not believing in Him.
God gave us the Bible to tell His story. He sent His only Son to die for our sins. God created the whole universe. Plenty of people have witnessed and talked about God being real. There comes a time when you need to open your heart to the possibility that God is real and at least search for Him; see if it is possible. If you are earnest in seeking Him and patient, He will show Himself to you. After all that, I don't believe anyone could justify not believing.
Of course, that's just my own viewpoint/belief. Good question though. Hope this helps.

Yes of course.
Not even a question. Sprituality is free. You do not
need to justify your reference to a common myth either.
I know what you mean and have to respect your approach.
Only Anti-Deists feel urged to justify themselves,
and of course they are no true Atheists whatsoever.

there is no proof! god is just an excuse to explain how everything came to be. we r the ones who have opened our minds to see that there is nothing to see. u cannot ask us
"then who made the universe?" b coz we will never no. people may develop theories such as god creating everything but that is as i said just a theory. i am surprised to see that so many people cling to this theory and use it to explain how everything is. therefore "god" is just a theory, a myth, a creation of man.

That is such a hard question to answer but when you do believe you believe that God is merciful. So i believe he will understand because i understand that it is so hard to believe in something that you have never seen with your own eyes "seeing is believing."But that's were faith comes in. He gave us a brain and choices and we can chose whether or not to believe.

Everyone has a right to believe what they want too. Not one has to justify their beliefs to anyone else. They just need to hope thier beliefs close to their heart.
Also, thinking about this...as many people as their on the earth and that have been here before.... why would anyone think one belief would be right for everyone...thats where free will comes in..
Also, please remember you dont have a right to judge in your faith on he/she does...but many people forget that.

In all reality both sides are justified in what they believe, because it's only a belief that neither side has any factual evidence about, if one believes in something then that belief is real and true to that individual, it just has no facts behind it that's all, you can believe in something but it doesn't necessarily make it true.

Here's how I ask it:
1) Does god want me to believe in he/she/it?
2) Is god "all powerful"?
If the answer to those questions is "yes", then religious nuts can relax. The answer should be obvious.
If his/her/its powers are so weak that he/she/it cannot over come my "god given" logic skills, then he/she/it does not deserve my worship... or perhaps he/she/it doesn't exist at all.
