And in a previous question you asked, "Why doesn't God talk back to me?" Well maybe you ought to change the way you talk. I'd rather be stupid than a crispy critter that you're going to be if you don't change your heart.

Personal opinion that would be seen as stupid by some (including me).

I love mountain climbing, but lots of people think it's stupid because of the danger and hard work. Doesn't mean I'm going to stop liking it. We're all entitled to believe in and like what we like.

The fact you capitalize "Deity" indicates you're actually leaning towards belief. Easy to answer. Take a risk and believe. You might be surprised, even shocked, to see what happens.

Best advice: look for people who believe, REALLY believe, and see how they act.

I'd have to say that calling other people's beliefs "stupid" doesn't rank up very high on the intelligence scale, myself.
