Religion & Spirituality - 16 October 2007

Now first of all I am not suggesting that atheism makes you kill people, but a recent news story pointed out that the Columbine suspects, the Virginia Tech Suspect, the Paduca Kentuky suspects, and the New Jersy suspect were all atheists.

Isn't it possible that the reason is the total hopelessness preached by the Atheist Religion? If not why is the above the case?

I personally do not celebrate it. It seems to be a fun day for kids, however, Halloween is a day for all sorts of immorality- where freakish, horrid things are shown in movies, and large drunken parties are held as well.

I mean, not all aspects of Halloween are bad. Children get to dress up and get candy, that's ok I suppose, yet it seems that this is a Holiday that Christians shouldn't be celebrating.

That's just my opinion; it doesn't make you any more of a sinner if you and your family celebrates it... lol

So, what do y'all think about the holiday of Halloween?

It says in the Bible and that God created the world in 7 days...is it possible that the first "day" was actually billions of yeas as the Earth formed and then God worked with it from there?

They say the the universe is so beautifully designed. But when I look at the world around me, it just doesn't seem so. It just looks like a bunch of crap floating around in space to me. When I see animals like the squid and the hippo, I think, who the hell designed that. There really seems to be no order what so ever.

I have found some supporting evidence, like that atheist Eagle Scout who murdered his troop. BUT, if atheists are real then there must be some repeatable experiment which results in an atheist. Just doing it once may result in a false positive. Since an atheist is most usually a human and since humans are made from either mud or ribs depending on their gender, the only sensible way of carrying out the experiment is by bringing a wheelbarrow full of manure into a KFC restaurant. Manure is usually used as an air freshener in a KFC restaurant so this means the conditions can be set up many times over.

What do you think? Have you ever tried the KFC experiment?

The earth is over 4 billion years ago. Even God instantly created the earth, and it never slowly formed like it did, then why did he wait so long to make humans? Or do any of you christians think the earth never slowly formed, that it was made during the course of a week?

...and most of the Christians tend to be females (according to the avatars I see). Is this a real trend in society: are most atheists males, while females are more likely to be religious? It certainly seems that way.

Lat Wednesday I was in youth group and the pastor made a statement, "You cannot believe in parts of the bible and not in others" is this true? I do not, cannot, believe in the book of Genesis, I can even believe Jesus' powers but not that the whole world was populated by 2 people!...So can I just believe in the New Testiment?

If you’re dead these is no physical being or presence… How does one throw something which has no mass and therefore no inertia or momentum? Remember f=ma!

Also if one has no physical being than one would also have no nerves or pain receptors. So being thrown (if there was something to throw) into a lake of fire would be no different than being thrown into a Lake of Jell-O brand pudding or 18 year old single malt scotch for that matter.

So…. What is the big deal or are these just more empty threats?

The love of children, Honesty, truth.. Love for humankind, animals, the earth...

Love for long suffering...
