Good question. They are a lot like mormonism, they have to keep changing their scripture when they realize it does not go in harmony with the Bible. Its to sad they dont realize that it never will.

I understand what u are saying... and i thought this was a great place to get some of my questions answered about alot of the thing i think about their doctrine and teachings (most i believe to be false and would like explained, for a full understanding)
There were a few that answered one of my questions about JW very nicely, but there were alot more that didn't... and when u have a concern, it is good to try and get some clarification.
This is Yahoo! Answers, and this is where u should ask them. I don't see a problem with that at all.
Just my opinion
Take care, God bless

I love that "keep changing". Honestly, we have had less and less alterations in belief as time's gone bye. As most who have talked with us know, we are constantly concerned with making sure our beliefs, are correct with the Bible. Not always an easy process to apply millenia old principles to modern day problems. The point, is we keep searching for Bible truths.
In response to the claim from Goat I just now found this query, it often takes a day or more for a question to be found, as some of us do have lives, some more than others:D

Everytime I see blasphemy posted and attacks against the witnesses it is always you.
Is something mentally wrong with you or are you on medication, or have you sold your soul to Satan? You don't want the truth, but all you want is to continue to slander instead of realizing the error of your ways.
I hope Jehovah God strikes your evil spirit down.
ATHEISTS, BLASPHEMERS, RIDICULERS, SLANDERERS, AND LIARS
------------------------------------
Never be bullied nor ever feel inferior to an atheist. Try to always put Jehovah God first in whatever you do in life and that includes being in the face of those who hate him and his son.
They should not scare you and you do not have to go down to their level. You can smile when they behave this way because you know what God's word, the Bible says about ridiculers:
Ridiculers are, in general, detestable to others. (Proverbs 24:9) If such do not accept reproof, they will experience disaster. (Proverbs 1:22-27) And how despicable are those who deride the poor, or their own parents. (Proverbs 17:5; 30:17) Ridiculers often refuse to listen to rebuke (Proverbs 13:1) and do not love those reproving them. (Proverbs 9:7, 8; 15:12) Nevertheless, they should be disciplined for the benefit of others. (Proverbs 9:12; 19:25, 29; 21:11) Instead of keeping company with such unholy ones, it is better to drive them away; much happier are those who refuse to sit with ungodly ridiculers. (Psalms 1:1; Proverbs 22:10)
“For you know this first, that in the last days there will come ridiculers with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires.” (2 Peter 3:3) Jude says that the desires of these ridiculers are “for ungodly things.” He calls them “animalistic men, not having spirituality.” (Jude 17-19)
You can and should rejoice in the face of ridiculers because you know you are doing God's will and it was prophecied that these lowly ones would come out of the smallest of rocks to try to offend Jehovah and you, yet you stand strong. Rejoice in the face of ridiculers, and leave them alone.

It is challenging for me to understand why so many remarks on this site is aimed at the Jehovah Witnesses. Are you all afraid of them? Do you feel that you are right and they are wrong. Are you judging? I am not a J.W. and I do not belong to an organized religion. Why? Look at your question? I choose not to judge others and that is something hard to find these days. Why?

Truthfully, according to the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, are you considered an apostate?
Why don't you try building up instead of tearing down?

Not a single direct answer from a Witness..that is because they can not answer for their failed doctrines, and hang on for dear life to a failing religion.

Jehovah's Witnesses use the term "the truth" to refer to bible truth and especially to Christianity. Frankly, it is somewhat disappointing (but unsurprising) that other self-described "Christians" are unfamiliar with this usage by the bible writers themselves. The rather obvious term 'the truth of the good news' is even used three times in the Christian Scriptures.
(John 1:17) The Law was given through Moses, the undeserved kindness and the truth came to be through Jesus Christ.
(John 8:31-32) Jesus went on to say...: “If you remain in my word, you are really my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
(John 18:37) Everyone that is on the side of the truth listens to my voice [said Jesus].
(2 Corinthians 13:8) For we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.
(2 Thessalonians 2:12) They all may be judged because they did not believe the truth but took pleasure in unrighteousness.
(1 Timothy 3:15) God’s household, which is the congregation of the living God, a pillar and support of the truth.
(2 Timothy 2:15) Do your utmost to present yourself approved to God, a workman with nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of the truth aright.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
Regarding the questioner's suggestion about "changing"...
More than a century ago, Jehovah's Witnesses recognized the bible truths that hell is not hot, that the soul is not immortal, that God has a personal name, that Jesus is not Jehovah, that most humans will be resurrected as humans, and that God's Messianic Kingdom will restore paradise to earth and end the suffering of humankind.

Amazingly, those ideas remain tightly and uniquely identified with Jehovah's Witnesses. Some enlightening regarding details has emerged in 130 years, but it is a silly exaggeration to pretend that significant teachings (such as those mentioned above) have been "reversed".
Jehovah's Witnesses use literally dozens of different legal and corporate entities, many of which have names similar to "Watchtower Society" but none of which has "its teachings". Rather than to a corporation, beliefs and teachings are common to persons of the same religion, specifically to the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.
When a questioner refuses to even use the actual and respectful name of a religion, it would seem to expose the questioner's lack of objectivity and lack of credibility.
Jehovah's Witnesses certainly do admit when their understanding is wrong, and they certainly do embrace the teaching that seems best supported by Scripture. Would the questioner recommend otherwise?
In any event, it seems rather obvious that ongoing bible research, as well as occasional advances in archeology and etymology, would result in refinements of one's understanding. That was true for Jesus' apostles and other early Christians, and it is true today.
In the first century CE, certain ideas took DECADES to resolve, even among men and women who walked with Christ Jesus. Even in the presence of Jesus, the idea of 'eating flesh and blood' stumbled some disciples (not outsiders, but disciples) who were unwilling to wait for the now-obvious answer (Jesus was simply speaking metaphorically).
After Jesus' impalement, sincere disciples were confused about whether Christianity should involve only Jews, or maybe only Jews and Samaritans, or maybe only these and circumcised Gentiles. There was confusion about using tongues within the congregation, about tolerating sin and "Jezebel", about when Jesus would "return", and about when Armageddon would arrive. Much of this confusion was quite public; even though the apostle Peter enjoyed tremendous privileges and direct communication from heaven, Peter seems to have been the source of an incorrect teaching "out among the brothers" that was perhaps not resolved until the apostle John wrote his Gospel more than 60 years later!
(John 6:61-68) Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were murmuring about this, said to them: “Does this stumble you? ...he went on to say: “This is why I have said to you, No one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.” Owing to this many of his disciples went off to the things behind and would no longer walk with [Jesus].
(Acts 18:25-26) [Apollos] had been orally instructed in the way of Jehovah and, as he was aglow with the spirit, he went speaking and teaching with correctness the things about Jesus... When Priscilla and Aquila heard him, they took him into their company and expounded the way of God more correctly to him.
(John 21:21-23) Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what will this man do [that is, the apostle John]?” Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.” In consequence, this saying went out among the brothers, that [the apostle John] would not die. However, Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you?”
Does the bible support the idea that full knowledge would be instantly understood by everyone? No. Instead, the bible contains such reasonable ideas as these:
(1 Corinthians 13:12) For at present we see in hazy outline by means of a metal mirror, but then it will be face to face. At present I know partially, but then I shall know accurately even as I am accurately known.
(Daniel 8:16,17;12:4,9) [The voice] proceeded to call out and say: “Gabriel, make that one there understand the thing seen.” ..And he proceeded to say to me: “Understand, O son of man, that the vision is for the time of the end.” ...“And as for you, O Daniel, make secret the words and seal up the book, until the time of the end. Many will rove about, and the true knowledge will become abundant.” ...And he went on to say: “Go, Daniel, because the words are made secret and sealed up until the time of the end.
