The earth is over 4 billion years ago. Even God instantly created the earth, and it never slowly formed like it did, then why did he wait so long to make humans? Or do any of you christians think the earth never slowly formed, that it was made during the course of a week?

Suzi, you really believe that the earth is only 6000 years old? Wow, have you ever gone to school before? Let alone been out in public? Wow.

Well there was a Big Bang then gravity slowly made all the celestial bodies, that's why all planets and stars are spherical and why the heaviest parts of the planets are in the center.
Now if God does exist and He is eternal. And if He did create the universe, there had to be an infinite amount of time before He created the universe. It gets kind of confusing...

Well, we really do not know how old the earth is. It is all hypothesis. God can created things aged, and then "the waiting period" might be much shorter.
Edit. You might think that Suzi's answer is ridiculous, but we Christians do not limit our God's powers. We believe in Genesis record, and Jesus confirmed it when He was here. The OT is the same as it was Jesus' time.

According to the Ancient Vedic scriptures which came with the whole material creation. The Supreme Lord God also known as Krishna,Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc.) Well it is explained that Krishna expanded Himself into a Gigantic form (millions of times bigger than all the universes. He lay down at the bottom of the causual ocean and then all the universes expanded from His pours. Within each universe He expands Himself and into each planet He expands Himself then when all living beings are created by Lord Brahma who is the co creator on Gods behalf Brahma gets the knowledge how to create all the bodies for all the souls that will be taking birth within the material worlds. But all souls eternally exist so their is no creation of souls just bodies for souls to come into. Lord Brahman took a week to create. He is not God but Gods representative But when God expanded all the Universes they came out in a blink of an eye. Earth didn't slowly form it was instantly created as where all planets. For this amazing vast knowledge go to srimadbhagavat.org/... It is in alignment with the Bible, but the details are insurmountable in the Vedas.

That is a question only God can answer. I beleive in the day He will reveal all the answers to us and all that is so confusing now will become crystal clear. I don't worry about the contradictions between science and the Bible. I simply think that since God had no beginning and science is 'new' by comparisson, science just hasn't come into all knowledge. All will be reconciled and the truth will be known.

Because he didn't. He merely created the human being with the potential for free thought and free choice. he did not manipulate or create our personalities as then we would have no independence or free choice. Therefore on Earth we are given the choice to behave and develop how we want. If we were not then there would be no point to heaven or hell as it would not be because of our own actions but how God made us that we ended up there. heaven and hell are a reward or punishment for our behaviour-and even at the end we are given free choice to repent. So God did not create selfish people as their personalities and actions are not of his doing.

The earth is not over 4 billion years old. If you think it is by carbon dating, you are incorrect. They have no base for carbon dating. How do the know that certain formula or
read-out means 1 year? They don't. The earth is approximately six thousand years old. It say's in the bible. God didn't wait so long to create us. We came about a few days after the whole universe.

given the fact that, according to the bible, adam was created on the sixth day of our planet’s existence, we can determine a biblically-based, approximate age for the earth by looking at the chronological details of the human race. this of course assumes that the genesis account is accurate, that the six days of creation described in genesis were literal 24-hour periods, and that there were no ambiguous chronological gaps. 6,000 years is this approximate age
