I think that maybe, if we were to examine the demographics of the YA world, we would find that women Christians are more vociferous than the male Christians, and that male atheists are more vocal than female atheists on this forum.

I'd be interested to see a formally randomized survey on gender breakdown. I agree with your perfunctory evaluation though, at least in that it does seem like most of the vocal atheists on here are male. I don't know about christians though. That seems a more even split to me, but who knows. You might be right.
I won't risk any other generalizations based on gender though. If you do that you're just begging to get clobbered.

I don't know about that. There are quite a few atheist females on here too. It would be interesting to find out, although I don't know that it would mean anything at all.

I see lots of female atheists here.
Maybe the ones we don't see are too busy fighting for science education, like Prof. Eugenie Scott and Prof. Barbara Forrest.

Avatars don't seem a very good method to determine Atheism. I belief females are just as smart to become and Atheist are as males.

Well I'm not an athiest, but I am female. I am also a Deist - which means I do beleive in God, but not in the Bible. And I do not beleive that JC was the Son of God.
My guess is that most male athiests are on Q&A because the womenfolk have to look after the kids. Mine are asleep right now. LOL

I think it's about the same really, men just tend to be more vocal about things like that this I think.
Or if you wanna get all science on it, men are supposedly more logical and science/math oriented, and scientist tend to be atheist.
but really i think it's just men are more vocal about it.
On the flip side most overly religious people I know tend to be male.
